Microsoft has formally announced a new Minecraft augmented reality game for mobiles that’ll be heading to iOS and Android phones during the summer.

Entitled Minecraft Earth as per the announcement, it’s promised you’ll be able to build your own creations and share them with others, see famous Minecraft mobs out in the world, take on challenges and gather resources alone or with other players. Collabrative building projects are also promised, which you’ll also be able to seperate out and work on your own.

Minecraft Earth is the latest of a series of treats to mark Minecraft’s 10th anniversary today, which have included a special 10th Anniversary map and the ability to play Minecraft Classic in your browser.
