Sony San Diego Studio has announced that MLB The Show 19 will launch exclusively for PlayStation 4 on March 26, 2019.
Next year’s entry in the long-running baseball franchise will feature Bryce Harper as the cover star. If like me you know bugger all about baseball, well, Sony’s got a few facts to show why this is such a big deal. Harper has a number of impressive stats to his name, including 184 home runs, 521 RBIs, Six-time MLB All-Star, and 2012 NL Rookie of the Year.
I don’t even know what half of those mean, but they sound impressive all the same.
‘We’re at the beginning of a new chapter in the epic MLB legacy of Bryce Harper. He’s got the skill and tenacity to be a hall-of-fame ballplayer. He’s got an explosive drive to win, and he’s hungrier than ever for a World Series ring,’ says the PlayStation Blog post.
Sony also revealed that there will be multiple versions of MLB The Show 19 in addition to the standard edition.
First up is the Gone Yard Editon, which will be exclusive to GameStop and EB Games and retails for $99.99. It comes with the following:
