Today, Bandai-Namco Group has provided anime fans with a release window for the highly anticipated new television show Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. This news comes by way of the official website, which revealed that the show is set to air in October 2022.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury was officially announced last September during the 2nd Gundam Conference event. Outside of the name, not too much information was provided regarding the contents, storyline, or actors that will be in the show.

The series will be the first television show in the franchise since Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans originally aired in Japan back in 2015. The anime followed the adventures of a group of juvenile soldiers who rebel against the adults who betrayed them on a futuristic, terraformed version of Mars and health with themes such as war, slavery, child soldiers, poverty, neo-colonialism, and corruption.

Only time will tell as to whether Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury will follow a similar storyline, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
