Monster Hunter World: Iceborne was released last month on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to critical acclaim as a quality continuation of Monster Hunter: World. Fans were anticipating the arrival of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne on PC and now a release date has been announced.
As the final and only expansion for Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be making its PC debut on January 9, 2020. Just eight days after the start of the new year, PC players will be able to play Iceborne.
The footage from the trailer offers a glimpse of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s setting, as well as a ton of action and various monsters. The trailer also offers some further details for PC players. These include high-resolution texture pack support, the ability to run the game in 4K at an uncapped framerate, support for ultra-widescreen, DirectX 12 support, and enhanced controls for the keyboard and mouse.
The trailer also mentions pre-order bonuses. The Yukumo layered armor set is guaranteed to those who pre-order the game, while a Silver Knight layered armor set is promised for players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe edition. Additionally, the Guardian Armor Set will be granted for free to players of both Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne come January 9th.
Monster Hunter: World and its expansion have managed to make Monster Hunter a mainstream franchise. Ahead of the PC rendition’s release, players can read up on what to do after finishing Iceborne. Further, existing players can hold out for more events like the Resident Evil crossover that transforms the Handler into Resident Evil 2’s Mr. X.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is already available on consoles and will be released on PC on January 9, 2020.
