Displaying behavior akin to a sociopath, popular Twitch variety streamer “MOONMOON” murdered his way through a new VR entry – The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. After messing with the controls for the game and completing the tutorial, he ran into a friendly non-player character. Moon’s greeting, however, was certainly not what the character was expecting.
After brutally murdering the poor fellow (and multiple of his replacement clones afterwards) – Moon continued through the game, opting for violence over any form of dialogue with other potential NPCs. Disrespecting both the living and the dead, the Twitch streamer comically approached the story with ridiculous commentary and a proclivity for violence.
Not far into the story, he ran into a distressed widow, laughing at her misfortunes while waving a gun and knife in her face. The NPC eventually felt threatened and made a break for it, prompting Moon to shoot and rob the poor lady.
All-in-all, his violent adventure was simply in good fun. Moon is actually a veteran in the streamer community on Twitch, mainly known for his Overwatch content. Even though his streams and personality can be plenty edgy, he gives back to the community in various ways. Take, for example, his “game jam” tournament that he hosted last year, in which he awarded large cash prizes to the winners.
If you’re a fan of psychopathic behavior in video games such as Moon’s, another fantastic creator that deserves your immediate attention goes by the name of Wilburgur. The Australian YouTuber creates hilarious “scripted” play-throughs of popular series such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Take, for instance, his totally-not-immoral video: “Drinking 1000 bottles of Skooma and killing every NPC in the game.”
Although the uneducated may believe that killing innocents in a video game will lead to real-world violence, it is simply entertaining content in this case. Heck, if anything, attacking NPCs in VR could serve as a good outlet for aggression. Either way, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, MOONMOON probably isn’t going to be anyone’s first choice as a survival buddy.
