Way back in 1986, the world was introduced to The Legend of Zelda. This classic NES release followed the adventure of Link, a stalwart Hylian hero on a quest to defeat the evil Lord Ganon and save Princess Zelda from certain doom. Thanks to this cult classic and some stellar subsequent releases, Link has cemented his place in the annals of Nintendo history.
As times changed, so did The Legend of Zelda’s story. The original adventure exploded into a universe filled with rich lore and character development. Players were no longer confined to a small overworld map and were free to explore Hyrule in its expansive antiquity. This meant new places, new enemies, and, most importantly, new characters.
Link is as well-known as Mario and Samus, but The Legend of Zelda universe has seen some great side characters throughout the years. With an abundance of lengthy and entertaining adventures, it can be downright difficult to remember all of the great NPCs that Link has come in contact with.
