Since the release of Mortal Kombat 11 nearly four months ago, players have seen two MK11 DLC characters added to the roster in Shang Tsung and Nightwolf. Additionally, it has been revealed that Sindel and Spawn are forthcoming Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character, leaving only two of the MK11 Kombat Pack fighters unannounced. While these two unannounced fighters are set to be officially shown tomorrow, by way of a Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack trailer, a leak has provided these details ahead of this reveal.
Earlier today, an official countdown to the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack trailer was uploaded to YouTube. At 9am EST on August 21, this countdown was to be replaced by the MK11 Kombat Pack trailer itself, but it was discovered that fans could use the URL of the countdown to generate thumbnails from the forthcoming trailer. One of these thumbnails clearly depicts the full extent of the Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters planned for the Kombat Pack, revealing the Terminator and the Joker as the final two unannounced DLC fighters.
Additionally, this MK11 DLC leak seemingly reveals release dates for all of the remaining Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters. Thus, fans can expect the Terminator to arrive on October 8, Sindel to release on November 26, the Joker to be available on January 28, and Spawn to join the roster on March 17. NetherRealm Studios has previously indicated that it will support Mortal Kombat 11 for many years to come, and this protracted release schedule demonstrates one way that this continued support will materialize.
It is also worth noting that all six of these Kombat Pack characters were named in a Mortal Kombat 11 DLC leak that occurred before the game was even released. Ash Williams, Fujin, and Sheeva were also included in this MK11 DLC character leak, and it is possible that these fighters will be part of a second Kombat Pack, though NetherRealm has not yet made any official announcement about additional Kombat Packs.
Since the discovery of this thumbnail, the countdown to the MK11 Kombat Pack trailer has been removed from YouTube. However, with the release of the trailer scheduled for just a handful of hours from now, it will not be long before fans receive definitive confirmation on the Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters revealed by the image featured here.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version in development.
