Professional Fortnite Player MrSavage announced that he has joined esports organization 100 Thieves.

The future of Martin “MrSavage” Foss was filled with uncertainty after he announced his departure from esports organization NRG earlier this month. Supporters of the popular Fortnite player knew he would not remain a free agent for long, which led to speculation on where his next destination would be. After placing 14th in the World Cup Duos and 29th in the World Cup Solos, there was no question that he would be a heavily sought after addition to any esports organization.

100 Thieves seems to be taking over the gaming world, recently revealing their new gaming facility and announcing a partnership with NZXT. It only makes perfect sense that one of the most popular and successful Fortnite streamers was next in line to join their organization.

MrSavage has seen extreme growth in the success of his Twitch stream after showing off his skill on the main stage of the Fortnite world cup, increasing his average viewer count over 370% in the last 365 days as of writing this article. His reported earnings from 25 tournaments have surpassed $185,000. He has continued his dominance into Fortnite Chapter 2 and despite a lull in competitive events from Fortnite developer Epic Games, it is expected that competitive events will return. This means viewers should get to see MrSavage compete on a competitive stage once again.

At just a measly 15 years of age, it is inspiring to see the hard work lead to success for MrSavage. This is undoubtedly a great move for the young streamer as joining 100 Thieves should prove mutually beneficial for both the player and organization. It will be interesting to see, however, if the competitor will be moving from Norway to the United States to be closer to the rest of the 100 Thieves players, or if we will see him stay and compete in the EU circuit. If he does not decide to move, will fans located in the US get the chance to meet him on a more regular basis due to him at least spending more time in the states? Nowadays, esports organizations, like 100 Thieves, are much more than an online clan or community, but quickly become a major part of a player’s brand.

I’m sure we’ll see nothing but continued success from MrSavage and the only question that remains is what we’ll see next from the 100 Thieves powerhouse.
