While a Batman: Arkham City teaser trailer has been widely expected at this year’s Spike Video Game Awards, it sounds as if Bat-fans will get an even earlier glimpse at what Rocksteady Studios is working on.
A new teaser for Batman: Arkham City will debut tomorrow - exclusively on MSN Games.
The announcement comes via an official tweet from MSN Tech - the UK MSN tech branch.
Considering the UK homebase for MSN Tech, as well as Rocksteady Studios, it’s important to note that the 2pm debut is in the UK timezone - which translates to 11:00am EST.
“Coming soon: new Batman Arkham City teaser trailer: exclusive to MSN Games http://bit.ly/dJM0k1: tomorrow Dec 8 at 2pm #arkhamcity”
While it’s unclear whether the MSN teaser will simply be an abbreviated version of what fans will see during the Spike Awards, or something altogether different, one thing is certain - new Arkham City footage is officially en route. It’s also reasonable to assume that, given that fact builds have been shown to outlets, this new trailer will offer gamers a first look at the actual game in motion - as opposed to the cut-scene-only trailer from last year’s VGAs.
So what can we expect, anything is possible. There’s certainly a lot of content for Rocksteady Studios to tease players with Multiplayer, new villains, returning challengers - but, sadly, not a drivable Batmobile.
Batman: Arkham City, coupled with the recent titling of Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, has caped crusader-related anticipation at an all time high - and no one is more excited than The Joker, well the man who voices the Joker, Mark Hamill.
Our sister-site Screen Rant recently caught up with the star at the premiere of, soon to be Uncharted-director, David O. Russell’s new film The Fighter and listened as Hamill discussed Arkham City, the Joker, and his thoughts on the video game industry.
