During last week’s panel at PAX East, Gearbox Software gave fans a look at the future of Borderlands 3, revealing the game’s highly-anticipated next DLC, Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, along with the spring 2020 roadmap. The developer also took the opportunity to share a brand new Borderlands 3 Shift Code, which players can currently use to claim five Golden Keys.

This new Borderlands 3 Shift Code will be active until Thursday, March 19 at 11:59pm PST, and it as follows: C3KJB-3H9HZ-63KZW-9BKJB-WZRCR. While often BL3 Shift Codes can only be redeemed for a handful of days, that is definitely not the case with this one, as players have almost three full weeks to claim these new Golden Keys. That said, fans that are interested in earning some free loot should be sure not to delay for too long at the risk of missing out on the offer altogether.

For those players that may be unfamiliar with how Shift Codes work in BL3, they can be entered through the in-game Social menu or via Gearbox’s Shift website. Once the code has been input, the associated Golden Keys will be delivered to the player’s Borderlands 3 mailbox, which is also found in the Social menu, and they can then be used to unlock the game’s special Golden Chest for some premium loot.

With respect to the location of this Golden Chest, it can be found on Sanctuary 3, Borderlands 3’s hub world, as soon as a player has unlocked the area. Indeed, the Golden Chest is marked directly on Sanctuary 3’s map, making it quite easy for fans to navigate to the cache and claim their rewards.

To note, the Golden Chest will grant loot at the level of the player that is opening it. As such, some fans may want to hit Borderlands 3’s level cap, which was raised to 53 less than three weeks ago, before cashing in their keys in order to receive the best gear. However, with Gearbox issuing new Shift Codes quite frequently, players should not be too concerned about using this set of Golden Keys prior to hitting max level, as there will undoubtedly be more available in the future.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
