While the first two Gears of War games featured beautiful graphics, tight controls, and ridiculously burly dudes carving up aliens with chainsaw bayonets, they weren’t exactly what anyone lacking a serious erotic dysfunction would call sexy. However, according to these new screens, that’s something that Gears of War 3 is looking to remedy.
For the most part, none of the new pics are anything we haven’t really seen before. The landscape pieces showcase the broken and crumbling metropolises of Sera and the old thrashball arena while some of the others put the new lambent Locusts front and center, displaying what are undoubtedly their glowing weak points. The rest of the screens are dedicated to pictures of Marcus and friends holding guns and looking either bad-ass and/or hot.
Hot.
Unfortunately, Marcus, Baird and Cole are the same ugly cusses that they’ve always been. Fortunately, they do look pretty mean when they’re holding the new old lancer, double-barreled shotgun or that big-ass cannon thing that Cole’s lugging around in the group shot. On the flip side, young, hot black guy Jace Stratton, sultry Nordic-warrior-princess look-alike Anya Stroud and Dom’s new bearded look more than balance out the ugly vote.
