With the Los Angeles weekend of the Call of Duty League set to take place over this upcoming weekend, one of the teams have made a big change to their roster. The New York Subliners made the decision to bench Trei “Zer0” Morris for the Los Angeles weekend and possibly beyond. It is unclear who will be stepping up to fill in Zer0’s shoes, but the Subliners need something to change after getting to a slow start their 2020 season.
The New York Subliners were touted as one of the better teams heading into the inaugural season of the Call of Duty League. Unfortunately, they have failed to live up to high expectations to start off their season and currently hold a record of 1-4 with their sole win coming against a strong Paris Legion team. There have been some great moments for New York as a team, but some changes needed to happen if the Subliners were to rise to their potential as the season progressed.
There hasn’t been an official replacement announced as of yet, but it is possible Doug “Censor” Martin might make is Call of Duty League debut. Whoever will be replacing ZerO will have a big task ahead of them, though, as the New York Subliners find themselves in a group with the Atlanta FaZe, Dallas Empire and Florida Mutineers – some of the top teams currently in the league. New York definitely has the talent to compete but haven’t been able to put together a consistent run. Los Angeles will be a big indicator of where the Subliners stack up moving forward.
