Nintendo will reveal the first details about its new NX platform as early as March, Tokyo-based Nomura Securities analyst Junko Yamamura has said.

Following the first info between March and May Nintendo will make a full console reveal in June – presumably at E3, with the system’s launch then expected to follow between October and November.

“We think the NX will start to boost operating profits in 18/3 [Oct-Dec 2017], when it will have been on the market for a full year and will have a line-up of software titles, which carry high operating margins,” explained Yamamura.

Nintendo has previously said it would begin talking about NX this year.
