Speaking with Kotaku during E3, Nintendo producers Yoshihito Ikebata and Kensuke Tanabe said they’re working with developer Next Level Games to ensure that the bosses in Luigi’s Mansion 3 are better than those in the 3DS’ Dark Moon.

Tanabe, who didn’t work on Luigi’s Mansion 2, as it was known over here, said ‘To be completely honest, when I was playing Dark Moon, I told Ikebata-san that if it were me, I would remake a lot of the bosses.’

‘I really wanted a more exciting kind of boss battle when looking to create the new game. In creating this game, one of the first things I requested of NLG is to really bring the excitement when you’re fighting the boss battles.’

The game had a lengthy enough spot during Nintendo’s E3 Direct, and it’s looking pretty good, as you can see below. Gooigi was the real highlight, obviously. I like the cut of his jib.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is out later this year on Nintendo Switch.
