Those pre-ordering Oculus Rift are being given an estimated shipping date, but this is the last communication you’ll get from Oculus informing you of when your headset is due to arrive, founder Palmer Luckey has revealed in a Reddit AMA.

While those getting a day one unit know the device will be shipping for release on March 28, all those who have been given a later ship date must now ensure they keep sufficient funds in their account to pay for the device once it’s available. Keep in mind that this could be sooner or later than the estimated date.

“No plan to notify users other than your Rift arriving on your doorstep earlier than expected,” said Luckey.

A heads-up that the Rift is shipping soon and that money will be taken would give consumers the opportunity to ensure sufficient funds are available.
