With the Los Angeles weekend of the Call of Duty League set to take place over this upcoming weekend, one of the teams have made a big change to their roster. The New York Subliners made the decision to bench Trei “Zer0” Morris for the Los Angeles weekend and possibly beyond. It is unclear who will be stepping up to fill in Zer0’s shoes, but the Subliners need something to change after getting to a slow start their 2020 season....
Today TLM Partners announced that it has acquired the next-gen (or perhaps we should say “current-gen” by now) fighting game Coreupt, alongside its development team. The publisher will support the game’s creator Jesse Wright in materializing his vision on PC and consoles, also bringing to the table its cross-play technology. On top of this, we also learn that TLM is also developing internally a new game with the working title HyperNova, by Bungie and Rockstar veteran Drew Smith....
Meshoff have dropped a new trailer for Nidhogg 2 in the build up to its August 15 release. Featuring plenty of stabbing, slicing and dicing, the trailer is a short but sweet look at the game in action. With a completely new art style that’s divided opinion amongst fans, and which the devs have gone into detail about if you’re interested, Nidhogg 2 looks to build upon the gameplay of the original with new weapons, levels , character customisation options and a thumping wee soundtrack....
When Microsoft announced that it was acquiring developer Ninja Theory, we got a glimpse at one of its upcoming games. Project: Mara looks like something different for the studio, known for working on Devil May Cry and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Now, the developer has gone into more detail on the project, and it’s mighty impressive. First off, the game focuses on the affects of mental health, not dissimilar to Hellblade. Ninja Theory says Project: Mara will “recreate the horrors of the mind as accurately and realistically as possible,” and that it’s also based on real people’s accounts of mental trauma....
The Nintendo Switch has received an amazing reaction since its release in 2017, and it has finally surpassed the PlayStation 4 in its home country in terms of sales. According to Famitsu, the Nintendo Switch outsold the PlayStation 4 (including sales of the PlayStation 4 Pro) during the period running from April 29 to May 12. The Nintendo Switch has sold 8,125,637 units in Japan, while the PlayStation 4 sits at 8,077,757 units....
Nioh turns two-years-old this month, and to mark the occasion, developer Team Ninja has confirmed that the game has sold 2.5 million copies worldwide. The critically acclaimed samurai-focussed actioner, which takes place in Japan during the 1600s, hit PlayStation 4 on February 8, 2017, before hacking and slashing its way over to the PC later that year. Pleasingly, Sony unveiled a follow-up at E3 2018 during its press conference, although we haven’t really heard all that much about it since then....
No Man’s Sky will be updated this week with the free Path Finder Update, Hello Games has announced. Path Finder introduces a new vehicle “that will aid home planet exploration, building on the Foundation Update to hint at a path ahead for the future”. “This is the next step in our journey. Don’t expect Battlefield studio DICE to make a third entry in the Star Wars Battlefront series. That’s according to a new Venturebeat report, which has dug further into this afternoon’s flurry of Star Wars details. Another day, another Epic Games Store exclusive. In a statement by Oddworld creator Lorn Lanning, it was confirmed that Oddworld: Soulstorm will launch for PC as an exclusive for the Epic Games Store. The Oddworld Twitter account posted the statement by Lanning earlier this morning. Naturally, the change could come with some ire, so Lanning explains the decision for the move to the store front. Basically, it sums up to Epic providing the Oddworld developer with some additional funding....
Not one, but four trailers have been released to introduce the new fighters joining the One Piece Pirates Warriors 4 roster. Bandai Namco Entertainment has laid the crazy on thick with its introductions for Dracule Mihawk, Buggy, Boa Hancock, and the incredibly bizarre Emporio Ivankov. Bandai Namco has said that the action-adventure beat ‘em up One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 will have more than 40 playable characters when it launches on March 27....

After many months since its announcement, Part I of the Minecraft Caves & Cliffs update has a release date. The update is set to bring some massive changes to the game’s blocky world, mostly with caves and cliffs (sorry). Granted, caves have needed a fresh overhaul for some years. The update will revamp caves, making them far more varied with vegetation, mobs, and a lot more. Basically, they’ll actually provide more of a reason for exploration, rather than a place to run into screaming and crying as you’re chased by mobs of enemies....
The hotfix patch for the Total War: Warhammer 2 Mortal Empires campaign has left beta today, and is now live for everybody. Those who’d been using it in beta through the opt-in method can now switch back to the main ‘build’ branch. For people who don’t know, the hotfix is primarily intended to reduce the severity of the Chaos Invasions in Mortal Empires. Prior to the patch, they would show up early, in force, and head straight for the player’s faction without really stopping on the way....

Today Paradox Interactive revealed a new video dedicated to the upcoming Airports DLC for Cities Skylines. The video focuses on providing an overview of the airports you can build and their features, and veterans on PC will notice that it’s very similar to existing mods with a quite few additional features that make it even better.
