Monster Hunter World’s Iceborne expansion won’t be out until week’s end, but that hasn’t stopped publications from taking it for a spin and sharing their verdicts. And if they’re to be believed, it looks like players will want to follow their lead as soon as possible. The DLC add-on promises more of what fans love about Monster Hunter World, this time in the new and snowy land of Hoarfrost Reach. Here, players can set out and hunt monsters old and new, culminating in a hunt for Iceborne’s flagship beast, the elder dragon Velkhana....

The long-awaited Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord finally has a release date of sorts. The developer behind the highly anticipated sequel, TaleWorld, has announced the medieval action role-playing title will hit Steam Early Access in March 2020. Though it’s not an official release, this will still be one of the first times fans will get a proper chance to play the sequel. Mount and Blade II was first unveiled all the way back in 2012, so getting the opportunity to actually sit down and experience the game is exciting news indeed....

Resident Evil fans have known for a while that a new installment is in the works, though it was pondered whether it will be a Resident Evil 3 remake or Resident Evil 8. While the question hasn’t been totally answered, a new website from Capcom for what is currently titled Project Resistance largely confirms that a new Resident Evil title will be announced on September 9th. The Project Resistance website doesn’t explicitly state that a new Resident Evil is going to be announced at Tokyo Game Show 2019....

Canadian developer Inflexion Games —studio behind upcoming survival crafting game Nightingale—has been bought by Tencent. As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, the two companies announced the acquisition today, but didn’t disclose the value of the deal. The deal also means that Nightingale will no longer use former owner Improbable’s cloud-based SpatialOS technology. As CEO Aaryn Flynn describes it, the game will now be “a more intimate, single-player or small group player experience”. Interestingly enough, it seems this future has been in the cards for some time, with Flynn claiming the decision to reduce the scale was made last summer, long before Nightingale‘s reveal back in December....

GilvaSunner is the name of a YouTube channel that features music from across the entire history of Nintendo. The music on the channel includes the soundtracks from games such as NES Remix, Super Mario 3D Land, and from the Super Smash Bros. series....

Nintendo has confirmed that it has no plans to increase the price of its Nintendo Switch console. Despite a drop in sales of around 23 per cent year-on-year - chiefly due to the tech industry’s ongoing shortage of semiconductor parts stifling manufacturing - Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa told Nikkei that Nintendo wanted to “avoid pricing people out”. “We’re not considering [a price increase] at this point, for two reasons,” Furukawa said (thanks, NME)....
