The new Batwoman has been revealed! Javicia Leslie (God Friended Me) will step into the cape and cowl when Batwoman Season 2 arrives on the CW in January 2021. Leslie isn’t taking over the Kate Kane role from Ruby Rose, but instead will play a brand new character, the mysterious Ryan Wilder. Rose left the show in May, shortly after the season one finale aired. No reasons for her departure have ever officially been given, but the series was quick to announce that they would replace the character rather than the actress....

It feels like the Splinter Cell franchise has been on the verge of revealing a new game for years now, though nothing concrete has come despite all of the rumors. GameStop, however, may just have dropped a huge hint alluding to an unannounced 10th title in the Splinter Cell series. Ubisoft has been pretty cagey about the return of Sam Fisher, never outright confirming anything while still teasing a comeback for Splinter Cell as recently as last month....

Before Satoru Iwata’s sad and untimely passing in 2015, the late Nintendo President was celebrated as one of gaming’s most universally loved and respected figures. Now a new book has been announced that will collect his famous ‘Iwata Asks’ developer interviews in paperback form. Announced by Japanese company Hobonichi – which was actually founded by Mother and Earthbound creator (and one of Iwata’s close personal friends) Shigesato Itoi – the book is set to contain Iwata’s thoughts including a range of interviews from the Wii and DS era of Nintendo’s history, including potentially this lovely one with the creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto from the release of Super Mario 3D World....

No Man’s Sky is on its way to the Switch on October 7th, but it will only offer a single-player experience when it launches, with more to come. Sci-fi Western shooter Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is getting released on the Nintendo Switch next month, with new features like gyro aiming and faster frame rates. Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath was developed by Oddworld Inhabitants and published by EA games in 2005. Originally an Xbox exclusive, it was re-released in 2010 for PC, and in 2011 for the PS3. The game was released to wide acclaim, earning a Metacritic score of 88/100 and getting nominated for numerous awards....

I’m not one to get my hopes up, but little by little, bullet by bullet, it appears that we might just be entering a new era of Dick Tracy fandom. The character, one of the most important in all of comics history, has languished in relative obscurity since a 1990 movie starring Warren Beatty and an all-star cast rendered unrecognizable by cartoonish makeup. Rights issues have prevented not only that movie from getting a sequel, but new interpretations of the character on the big screen, on TV, and even in comic books (his newspaper strip has continued uninterrupted since 1931)....

Ori and the Will of the Wisps releases today, and fans of its precursor, Ori and the Blind Forest have been anticipating it with breath bated since its announcement (and two release delays) in 2017. While the game is exciting and graphically breathtaking, there are some unfortunate caveats. Lost progress and game-breaking glitches prevent this newest Ori from being a slam dunk. This Outlander review contains spoilers. Outlander Season 4, Episode 9 For the most part, this episode was excellent. It stays close to Bree as we see the consequences of Bonnet’s act of sexual violence. It’s about Bree’s pain, her strength, her healing. Unfortunately, in the episode’s closing minutes, it becomes about Jamie’s pain, anger, and desire for revenge, and that takes this episode from something worth celebrating to another asterisked triumph for Outlander....

Over 100,000 Steam users are being invited to participate in a pair of closed beta tests for Splash Damage’s multiplayer shooter Dirty Bomb taking place this weekend and next. The stress tests will begin at 5pm this evening until next Monday, February 23, and open again next Friday, March 6 until Monday, March 9. Players will need to have registered for the beta to receive an invite, although it isn’t clear whether all registrants will be guaranteed access....

A new mechanic called Hero Pools will be making its way to Overwatch’s Season 21 of competitive play, which could end constant meta riding and start an age of fluid team composition and adaptation. After six long months, Jeff Kaplan and the Overwatch have come out with a new Developer Update video introducing the new mechanic. Hero Pools will make its way to competitive Overwatch in March and ultimately promises big changes for the game’s eSports scene....

Minecon 2015 will take place July 4-5 at ExCeL, London, Mojang has announced. 10,000 tickets will be available, offered in two batches of 5,000 on the same day in February – the exact date will be announced soon. “You’ll head to minecon.mojang.com to purchase them, but they will go fast!” writes Mojang. “To accommodate different people’s schedules, they will be released in two batches on the same day, different times, 5,000 tickets in each batch....
