If you have seen the Goblin Slayer anime or read the light novels/manga, you know just what level of spectacle to expect from creator Kumo Kagyu. This time, Kagyu is branching out from the medieval fantasy setting of Goblin Slayer and will instead show how he can handle the sci-fi genre in a futuristic Russian setting that is which will be a cyberpunk take on the Cold War. This new series is called Moscow 2160 and will be serialized through Big Gangan, the manga imprint that is owned by Square Enix....

With the release of Borderlands 3 players endured the fact that at launch the game did not have a raid. This was until the release of the Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite content update back in November which added a unique raid and Mayhem 4 difficulty. Now that Wordle has been acquired by the New York Times, several previously guessable words have been removed from the game’s dictionary. As reported by Polygon, Wordle users will no longer be able to try words such as “whore”, “bitch” and “sluts”. From now on, if players do try and enter any of these words, they will be greeted with the “not in word list” message. However, at the time of writing, users can still use the arguably equally, if not more offensive, words of “twats”, “minge”, “shits”, “cunts” and “fucks”....

PlatinumGames’ surprise hit of the year, NieR: Automata, is fleshing out its lore with a book later this Summer. Announced on the game’s Japanese Twitter account (via Siliconera), the novel will be released on August 5 in Japan, with no word on any worldwide release date, as of yet. The book is said to give fans a chance to learn more about the characters that appear in the main game. Game director Yoko Taro will be overseeing the project, while Jun Eishima, who has penned some other video games related books previously, is the author....

When the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection launched, it had the barest of barebones ports, with no graphics options in sight. You had to include a special instruction in a Steam window to pick your resolution. Upon launching the game, it’d just a bring up a window that you had to maximize. Koei Tecmo isn’t exactly known for putting effort into its PC ports. So this wasn’t a giant surprise, even if it was an unwelcome one....

Sales of Team Ninja’s Nioh series have now surpassed 7m worldwide. That’s between both the first Nioh, released in 2017, and Nioh 2 released in March 2020. Team Ninja shared the news in a celebratory Twitter post. Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus were on hand to spill a few new details on Death Stranding at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival this week (via Resetera), where The Walking Dead actor promised players would get ‘emotionally invested’ in the upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive title. It’ll make you cry, apparently. In case people were still wondering, the Kojima Productions boss reiterated that Death Stranding will be an open-world action game. Kojima-san expanded on this, saying that Death Stranding will offer something new in regards to open-world games, with ‘connection’ playing a major theme....

Hard Reset Redux, a revamped version of Wild Hog’s 2011 FPS, will launch for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on June 3, complete with 1080p 60 FPS visuals on all platforms.
