Netflix has released three new character introduction trailers for their upcoming drama serial based on The Witcher, introducing each of the three main characters ahead of the series’ premiere later this month. Geralt of Rivia, Yennefer of Vengerberg and Princess Cirilla each get a featurette all to themselves, with each video backed by a description of the character given by each character’s respective actor: Henry Cavill for Geralt, Anya Chalotra for Yennefer and Freya Allan for Ciri....

New details have emerged about the combat in God of War Ragnarök, including how Kratos can “play with this food”. The information comes from an interview with lead combat designers Mihir Sheth and Denny Yeh by Game Informer. In Ragnarök, players will have more options than ever to dish out damage to enemies, controlling both Kratos and Atreus in unison. A new Kingdom Hearts game is being teased, and this time it’s a mobile game. It’s called Project Xehanort for now. Square Enix isn’t telling us the real name and is actually asking us to guess it in a strange new contest. Given how Kingdom Hearts game names are about as related to the actual plot as I’m related to Gandhi (which is to say, not at all), then this is going to be a very difficult contest to win....

So far, Sega’s had something of a rollercoaster relationship with NFTs, bursting forth fully enthused last summer before seemingly reining that excitement in more recently. However, its corporate machinations continue behind the scenes and new trademark registrations and logos have emerged revealing Sega’s new gambit to potentially be called Sega NFT. Sega first shared its interest in joining the NFT and blockchain throng last April, when it revealed it had partnered with Japanese company Double Jump Tokyo to begin selling the likes of visual art, in-game images, and background music based on its new and classic IPs in NFT form....

The new Super Mario movie will be co-produced by legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo has confirmed. Shigsy will be joined by Illumination big cheese Chris Meledandri in the production chair, with Universal Pictures handling distribution duties. Ninty’s announcement confirms previous rumblings of a new film starring the plucky plumber, which correctly outed its plans to team up with same studio responsible for the hugely successful Despicable Me franchise. There’s not much else known about the movie at this point, other than it will be an animated effort....

Overcooked 2 developer Ghost Town Games has revealed that the game’s tropical-themed Surf ’n’ Turf DLC will be served up at 5.00pm BST today. Namco Bandai is working with textbook publisher Gakko Tosho to produce a new kind of textbook for elementary schools in Japan. Students will be immersed in a unique RPG type experience while learning in the classroom.
