Now, Activision and Radical Entertainment have released a little teaser trailer showcasing a little gameplay clip from the Prototype 2. The footage displays a significant graphics overhaul from the first game and places a heavy emphasis on wanton destruction and super-powered mayhem. The Prototype 2 debut trailer told us the premise for the sequel, and while it is a surprising move to switch to a new protagonist, I can’t say I’m not intrigued by the plot....

Previously, Nintendo announced it would air its September Direct on September 6th, at 3pm PT/6pm ET. Nintendo is planning to manufacture 9.5-10 million units of its upcoming Nintendo NX console per year, according to a report by DigiTimes. A trial production run of the new console has already taken place, industry sources tell the website, with Foxconn said to be the lead manufacturer. Misumi Electronics, which appears to specialise in camera modules, is said to be involved in the console’s production, too. The Nintendo NX has widely been reported to be a hybrid handheld/home console device, with a release scheduled for March 2017....

Nintendo has shifted another 23m Switch consoles in the past financial year (ending 31st March), for a new lifetime total of 107.65m units. But while that’s a huge milestone - already 6m more than the Wii - Nintendo admitted its consoles sales were down 20 percent on last year, and blamed “shortages of semiconductor components and other parts”. Microsoft has hit back at Sony’s objection to its planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard by revealing that third-party games like Bloodborne, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Final Fantasy 16, and Silent Hill 2 Remake are party to “exclusion” agreements that will prevent those games from coming to Xbox consoles.
