Netflix’s new gaming studio, which has former Blizzard VP and Overwatch Producer Chacko Sonny at the helm, has seemingly begun work on a new AAA shooter for PC. There has been a lot going on in the world of Pokemon this year, with plenty more still to come. The franchise has been dipping its toes in several markets, with a feature film, Detective Pikachu, two popular mobile titles, and the next major console release for the series, Pokemon Sword and Shield, set to come out in November. A new patch for the popular vampire survival game V Rising has just arrived, and it implements a feature that many players will no doubt appreciate. Essentially, this patch gives players the option to host servers that regularly wipe themselves at scheduled intervals. This means that all the progress players made with their characters, castles, and other elements within that server will go away, allowing them to go through the process again from scratch....
Nintendo has been doing some bookkeeping in Japan and has renewed almost forty of its old trademarks, one of which has raised a few eyebrows in terms of its possible meaning, as the Eternal Darkness trademark has been renewed. Nintendo regularly needs to renew trademarks in different regions and these have often lead to fans wondering if the company intends to do anything further with the licenses. The fans have often been left disappointed by Nintendo not reviving certain franchises and it’s usually just a case of Nintendo nailing down the trademark on the off-chance that it would need it in the future....
Nintendo has announced that it is acquiring Dynamo Pictures, a Japanese CG company, and will be renaming it Nintendo Pictures. Dynamo Studios specialises in C.G.I. for animation, films, television, and it has done motion-capture work, as well. Nintendo plans to buy 100% of outstanding Dynamo shares (via VGC), and expects the deal to close on October 3rd. This is wholly separate to Nintendo Studios, for which a listing recently appeared. That project was related to the upcoming animated Super Mario film....

Shiny Pokémon possess the same physical attributes and moves of their regular counterparts, with the only difference being their color palette and a sparkling animation effect that plays whenever they enter a battle....
Outriders demo came out for all the major platforms and in both console generations. It is made by People Can Fly (former Epic Games Poland), in the beautiful Unreal Engine 4. It looks stunning and we can’t stop playing the demo with all four classes named Technomancer, Pyromancer, Trickster, and Devastator. Today, CremaGames, developer of the Pokemon-esque MMO Temtem, showed the world that it was not afraid to drop the ban hammer. Over 900 players who are accused of cheating have been permanently banned from the game. For those that don’t know, Temtem is an open world MMO that borrows heavily from the Pokemon series. In the game players can join together with friends or other online players to hunt, capture, train, trade, and battle various monsters....
Overcooked 2 is hopping onto the holiday bandwagon with a free update for players today. Titled Kevin’s Christmas Cracker, the update is jam-packed full of holiday goodies. Damage players, step aside. It’s time for us support players to get what we deserve. Overwatch 2 is filled with tanks and damage characters, and with tanks possessing so much power and a massive arsenal of damage characters to choose from, it often feels like a chore to play support. One of the issues is the lack of variety among support heroes. It is still the class with the least playable characters, and they tend to be the most vulnerable....
E3 2011 is so close that gamers everywhere can almost taste it. There have already been some pretty amazing pre-E3 leaks and announcements, and Microsoft is looking to add to the pre-show buzz by launching their Xbox @ E3 website. The site, which is already live, currently allows visitors to plan their E3 with events and presentations Microsoft thinks attendees should not miss. Announced yesterday on its Steam community page, Might & Magic Showdown is leaving Steam, closing Early Access with immediate effect, and ceasing server support from July 31. The tactical PvP arena combat game never quite got going, with the game performing awfully over the last six months. Ubisoft has taken the difficult step of pulling the plug. Showdown hit an all-time peak of 79 concurrent players, and three in the last 24 hours, so it seems clear the decision taken is the right one....
