Nintendo Switch Lite has had a much more successful first week in Japan when compared to the UK, as the console sold almost 12 times as many units in Japan than in the UK (via two reports by GamesIndustry.biz). Over in Japan, consumers have taken home an impressive 160,000 units of the new Switch, and sales of the original Nintendo Switch rose by 12,000 units to 64,000 sold during its little brother’s first week compared to last week....

No Man’s Sky studio Hello Games is bringing its much-loved Joe Danger series back to iOS with various enhancements after an earlier operating system update left the games unplayable. Joe Danger Touch and its sequel Joe Danger Infinity (which initially came to iOS in 2013 and 2014 respectively) both fell foul of Apple’s decision to end support for 32-bit apps with iOS11 back in 2017. However, over the last few years, Hello Games has, as detailed in its new announcement, been tinkering on the titles to get them playable again....

Death Stranding star Norman Reedus reveals that he is happy that Silent Hills didn’t get released. Reedus worked with Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima on Silent Hills before it was cancelled, as the actor took on the role of the protagonist in the horror game. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Reedus revealed that he hasn’t played Silent Hills P.T. The actor, who also stars in The Walking Dead, does say that he’s seen the “terrifying” game being played and that he was “bummed” when it was cancelled, Death Stranding helped him to get over it....

Minecraft has blitzed through yet another record player count, with the multi-million selling survival phenomenom having notched up a staggering 74 million active users during December 2017.
