Just revealed at The Game Awards (via a cringe-worthy guest appearance from Mirage) is Apex Legends’ holiday event Mirage’s Holo-Day Bash. The event is live now in Apex Legends and has several exclusive holiday quips, gun cosmetics, and skins, including an elf skin for Wattson or a nutcracker skin for Mirage himself. Along with a Christmassy look and decorations, there’s also a limited-time mode called Winter Express. That pits three squads of three against one another in a capture the point-style game....

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne arrives on major consoles this September 6th. It’s been a long wait, but Capcom’s breakout online multiplayer monster-slaying spectacular, Monster Hunter: World, is finally getting its icy expansion. Winter is coming, and it’s bringing a whole bunch of new monsters, new equipment, new missions, and a brand new location along with it. World’s new locale is known as Hoarfrost Reach, and it’s described as the largest region in Monster Hunter....

The sixth main installment in the series, Monster Hunter Rise is the game we all waited for. Perfectly running in Nintendo Switch, the gameplay is as fluid as you expect from the franchise. The game introduces some new features along with polished old ones too. New features include a new companion called Palamute. Capcom has released a trailer of Monster Hunter (from the game series Monster Hunter) in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. The tough lass will be amongst the first DLC characters that’ll be added to the fighting game’s roster. She’ll also be joined by the Prince of Wakanda aka Black Panther, and Mega Man baddie Sigma. Monster Hunter had been seen previously as a non-playable character, but this trailer shows that she’s not one to be messed with....

Ash from Evil Dead may be arriving in Mortal Kombat 11 in the future, owing to an accidental leak from the Spawn announcement (via PlayStation LifeStyle). WB Games sent out a newsletter stating that Spawn—who has a cape and chains and guns—is now available for purchase in Mortal Kombat 11. The end of the email rattles off all of the registered trademarks of characters in the game, blah blah blah, boring boring boring…...

Although release dates are far and few between, many are understandably looking forward to many of Mortal Kombat 11’s new characters, so when the Terminator DLC gameplay trailer dropped on Tuesday, fans were ecstatic. Bringing with him a host of references and move sets, the T-800’s available skins have now been revealed via a video on YouTube. Much has been shown about the T-800 DLC add-on for Mortal Kombat 11 as it currently stands, including the Terminator’s Fatalities, his Brutality, and more....

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has saved the life of at least one young man, according to the person’s mother. If you haven’t picked up Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, you really owe it to yourself to grab a copy. It’s made by Ninja Theory, the same UK-based developers that came out with DmC: Devil May Cry a few years ago, and they use everything they learned from making that game to create another masterpiece in Senua’s Sacrifice....

The Muppets began as a scrappy and scruffy educational tool and became a national entertainment institution. Those fluffy puppets learned their lines and hit their marks. Well, “The Pig’s Out of the Bag,” Disney+ proclaimed in celebration of National Streaming Day. The troupe will throw away their scripts for an improvisational extravaganza in The Muppets Studio’s first original series for Disney+. Muppets Now release date has been set for July 31....

Bringing games to both console and PC is a great idea for any developer. Sure, it means more effort, but it also means opening up your experiences to a new market — and audience. Microsoft learned this a while back, making most of its AAA releases playable on both Xbox consoles and PC. Now, it looks like Sony might follow suit. Netflix’s animated Cyberpunk 2077 series, Edgerunners, is right around the corner, with the streaming service having now slapped it with a 13th September release date and celebrated the announcement with the launch of a “NSFW” trailer. Announced back in June 2020, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a 10-episode collaboration between Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt and Japanese animation studio Trigger (Little Witch Academia, Kill la Kill) that tells the story of a street kid trying to survive in the technology and body modification obsessed Night City....

One of the more surprising reveals from last year’s Ubisoft press conference at E3 was the announcement of a brand new Rayman game, titled Rayman Origins. Origins would be a return to form for the series, taking Rayman out of the minigame realm and reestablishing his platforming roots. After a couple weeks of relative quiet due to the holiday season, the latest weekly update for Destiny 2 finally brought new content for players to check out. In addition to a new difficulty for the Sundial activity, a new exotic weapon quest also went live for the Devil’s Ruin sidearm. The quest to earn it is fairly straightforward, though the weapon itself may be a little more complex than players originally thought....

The official Twitter account for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake has uploaded more pieces of recreated artwork showing scenes from the original game using the new designs for the characters, which includes iconic moments featuring both Sephiroth and Tifa. Final Fantasy VII Remake is expanding and updating the classic title from the original PlayStation. The Midgar section of the original Final Fantasy VII will now cover the entirety of the first game in the remake series, which means that the story will likely end at the point where the party defeat the Motor Ball boss and leave the city....

Despite being named after one X-Men spinoff team, the New Mutants movie is more like an x-factor. We don’t know how it’s going to be (despite the insistence that it’s coming at the end of August). We don’t know when it’s actually going to get released. We don’t know what Marvel superhero reality it’s going to take place in. We aren’t 100% sure if it’s going to be in theaters at all or just get thrown onto Disney+ or Hulu....

As November gets closer and closer, Pokemon fans have two big things to look forward to. First up is the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield, which will take players to the new region of Galar, and the new soft reboot of the Pokemon anime, thought it will be some time before episodes are fully translated into English. A few details have since popped up about the anime, including the confirmation of Ash, the new character Go, and the return of freshly-designed Team Rocket....

The latest trailer from Streets of Rage 4 brings four-player co-op and a surprise fifth character. Streets of Rage 4 is shaping up to be a faithful recreation of a ’90s classic, but it’s also looking to update itself for modern audiences. Today, people expect beat-’em-up games to be played with at least four friends (we can thank Castle Crashers for that), but we also expect to have some online capabilities too....

The official Tomb Raider site has changed to a teaser image but the clues are already on the page. Looking at the page’s source code we discover that the new game is indeed Shadow of The Tomb Raider and it even dishes out the release date and dates the pre-orders will appear. Probably an oversight but we’re not complaining. The source reads: Keep an eye on the official site tomorrow around 2PM GMT and we’ll also let you know what’s planned when details appear....
