Nintendo has already sold more than 1.5 million Nintendo Switch units worldwide to consumers, according to estimates made by SuperData. Based on data supplied by Famitsu and GfK, SuperData says that half a million Switch units were sold in the US, 360,000 were sold in Japan, whilst 85,000 and 110,000 units were shifted in the UK and France, respectively. The figures are largely based on first week sales, meaning Nintendo’s two million shipped target by the end of March looks a real possibility, if it hasn’t already reached that milestone....

A PC port for the first Nioh was released about nine months after it debuted on the PlayStation 4. The port had some problems and players were very vocal about them, as they tend to be. Fast forward, and Nioh 2 is coming to PC in just a couple of weeks. That’s about 11 months after it originally launched on Sony’s aging console. We got our hands on a preview build of the game, and I’m going to write words about it....

Last week, Square Enix announced a PC release for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition. That, for the uninitiated, is the formerly Switch-exclusive version of Dragon Quest XI which had all sorts of extra functionality attached. Unfortunately, a few problems tarnished this otherwise welcome announcement. For one thing, Dragon Quest XI S appears to be a direct port of the Switch version, which means worse lighting and lower-poly models....

Everyone’s suspicions were confirmed over the weekend, as BioWare posted an ‘Update from the Studio’ on the future for the Mass Effect: Andromeda story, to whit: there is no future for it. Developer Red Barrels has today unveiled plans to bring its popular first person horror series Outlast to the Nintendo Switch in the first quarter of 2018. An update post on their official Facebook page mentioned this while detailing their current plans for the future of the series. In it, the developer confirmed that it has no plans to make an Outlast 2 DLC, but promises answers to that game’s story in Outlast 3, when they make that which they say will happen as well as pointing towards a tie-in comic book that features an epilogue of sorts....

Overstep is a new action game that seems to have found a sweet middle ground we never knew we needed between the Tony Hawk franchise and arena shooters. Today Mojang announced the first candidate that will participate to the popular mob vote at Minecraft Live 2022. The mob is defined as an ancient one that was once part of the overworld’s ecosystem but went extinct. Yet, players could now find its eggs to bring it back. The name is “Sniffer” and it can help us grow some exclusive decorative plants. The Mortal Kombat series is no stranger to guest characters. Chinese developer 24 Entertainment has announced that it’s bringing Naraka: Bladepoint to the PlayStation 5. Naraka: Bladepoint is a fantasy battle-royale game, which a heavy leaning toward melee combat. It also features a nifty grappling hook, which you can use to swing about. Some new art for the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield anime has leaked ahead of the show’s scheduled release in November.
