As reported by DualShockers, Bayonetta and NieR: Automata developer PlatinumGames is working on a new IP. Speaking at independent games event BitSummit in Kyoto, Japan, PlatinumGames Producer Atusushi Inaba said the studio is working on a ‘formless, shapeless IP.’ While Inaba didn’t give any specifics on the dev’s next project, he did say it will be directed by somebody new. He added that he’s not sure if Platinum can continue releasing at least one game a year, which is the very minimum of what its done since Anarchy Reigns in 2012....

In an interview with VG247, James Bond 007: Blood Stone’s Game Director Jeff Lewis confirmed that the game will not be getting a pre-release demo. Oddworld: Soulstorm, a follow-up to Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, is currently in co-development between Oddworld Inhabitants and Frima Studio. Soulstorm picks up from Abe’s genesis and directly follows on from the overthrow of RuptureFarms and the liberation of his blighted workmates. Just last month, a Minecraft mod surfaced online that included ray-tracing in the game. Now, Microsoft announced at Gamescom today that it is officially adding real-time ray-tracing support to Minecraft, which will come as a free update to all PC users. It is worth noting that the upcoming feature will only be supported if the player’s PC has any of Nvidia’s 2060, 2070, or 2080 graphics cards or the Super and Ti variants of those....
Microsoft has announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Minecraft is to be updated to the Bedrock version of the game tomorrow, bringing the game in-line with the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions and finally allowing PlayStation 4 players to cross-play with the other formats. The Bedrock edition, as it’s known, will replace the currently existing ‘PlayStation 4’ version on the PlayStation Store, and will be free to all existing owners of Minecraft on the console....

On July 30 the eighth Harry Potter story opens in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre, bringing fans a new story set 19 years after the events of the Deathly Hallows. The play sees Harry married to Ginny and with three school-aged children. Harry is now working at the Ministry of Magic.
