At the Aniplex Online Fest 2022, the new Rurouni Kenshin anime was finally unveiled with the first full trailer. The anime was originally announced at the end of last year, and now we finally get to see what it will look like. Warner Bros. Interactive is delivering fighting game fans with yet another trailer for next week’s Mortal Kombat, this one detailing the King of the Hill mode. Playing out similar to the party room in the Xbox 360 version of Netflix Instant Watch, King of the Hill allows several players to view an MK match while at the same time interacting with the screen. As the player interacts with the Mortal Kombat match they are viewing — performing actions like throwing a tomato at the screen or booing — they will earn respect points based on variety and context....
Nintendo has announced a special limited-edition Splatoon 3 Switch OLED console. As you can see in the picture above, it has paint splats on it and Joy-Con in retina-burning colours. And it will launch on August 24th. This means that it will be out before the game’s official release, which is on September 9th. Nintendo has announced that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, an animal crossing game for mobile devices, is launching worldwide on November 22. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is by turns graceful and frustrating. Mostly similar to the first entry in the series, landscapes are now even more vibrant and colorful. Elements that make the game bigger than its predecessor, like a charming town-building subplot, are unobtrusive and welcome. With that expanded scope come debilitating bugs, though, which made speeding through the game for review more difficult. Frame rate stutter, animation glitches, and crashes plagued my experience with Ori and the Will of the Wisps....

Today marks the end of an era. Developer Frostburn Studios has shut down Heroes of Newerth after announcing it would do so last December. An official reason for this decision has not been provided, but it’s most likely due to Heroes of Newerth‘s dwindling player base. The MOBA has had difficulties attracting new players for some time. Those who are going to be diving into Modern Warfare 2 via PC on its launch will face the same problem as those going into Blizzard’s recently released Overwatch 2 - you will need to link a phone number to access the game, and mobile phones with a prepaid plan “may not work”.
