UPDATE 7/11/22: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has now generated over $1bn, and become the fastest-selling title in the series to hit that milestone. Activision’s latest press release states that the previous record for hitting $1bn was set by Black Ops 2 back in 2012. That took 15 days. Naughty Dog has shown off seven uncut minutes of The Last of Us Part 1 ahead of its launch on PlayStation 5 this week. The video, below, shows the Bill’s Town section of the game. Okay so everyone already saw the random The Last of Us Part I remaster for PS5 and PC coming a mile away, but what we didn’t see coming was a brand new multiplayer mode for The Last of Us Part II. 2K Games has released some new footage of the next-gen version of its popular basketball sim NBA 2K21 running on the PlayStation 5 accompanied by some developer commentary. In the footage, which we’ve posted below, the game’s executive producer Erick Boenisch and gameplay director Mike Wang from Visual Concepts take us through some of the improvements and gameplay features this upgraded version affords, such as the brand new camera view, a new shot indicator and of course, those ridiclously detailed visuals....

We’ve known for some time that Netflix was developing an Addams Family spin-off series based on the character Wednesday Addams and her years as a high school student. Netflix then released a teaser trailer on Aug. 17, 2022, giving fans a sense of the show’s comedic tone while mixing in the horror aspects that made the original Addams Family movie beloved by many. There has been a ton of fresh news flowing in about Farming Simulator 22 over the last few weeks. In the latest update from the developers at Giants Software, it has been revealed that Farming Simulator 22 will feature a new combine harvester known as the CLAAS Trion 750 Terra Trac. This new harvester is not just new to the sim, but also an all-new actual harvester. The German manufacturer CLAAS partnered with Giants Software to reveal both the real-life and in-game versions of the harvester....

Blizzard Entertainment has pulled the wraps off the new Witchwood expansion for Hearthstone, which brings a distinct Gothic-horror vibe to the popular PC and mobile card collecting title. The Witchwood offers a host of extra content, chief among which includes a fresh single-player outing known as Monster Hunts. Nexon—the company behind titles such as MapleStory and Dungeon Fighter Online—has announced that pre-registration is now open for Spiritwish. Spiritwish is being developed by Neon Studio and will be coming to both Android and iOS devices. The game features a mixture of 3D textures and hand-drawn sprites which gives Spiritwish a unique look for a mobile title, and a style that fits right in with the self-described appearance of a ‘fairy tale adventure....

Those who are expecting Nintendo to release a new iteration of the Switch in 2020 will be disappointed to learn that the president of the company has shot down the idea of an updated model this year. The base version of the Nintendo Switch was released in 2017 and fans have been expecting an updated model ever since, in the same vein as the XL or new models that the 3DS received....

Nintendo will reveal its new NX gaming platform in 2016, and remains firm in its stance of not talking about the system this year. However, in the 75th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders Q&A, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata did offer the following nugget about NX. “I will not share details on NX today but with regard to the launch of Nintendo 3DS and Wii U not necessarily having progressed well and not acquiring sufficient support from software publishers, we intend to offer NX through a Nintendo-like solution,” he explained leaving everyone totally baffled as to what he means....

Call of Duty: Black Ops’ most famous multiplayer map ‘Nuketown’ is being reimagined for this November’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 – and it’ll be free to everybody who pre-orders the shooter from GAME, Activision has announced. Renamed ‘Nuk3town’, the classic map is said to have been “refreshed for a new generation of gameplay” designed to take advantage of Black Ops 3’s wall-running movement system. It’ll be set 50 years in the future in the year 2065....

According to the retailer’s site: “Pac-Man is back, man! Outrun the ghosts and collect Pac-Dots while navigating Pac-Man through the maze. Complete each stage by collecting all of the dots and avoiding the tricky ghosts.” Though it’ll set you back $500, the Pac-Man tabletop arcade might be worth it for dedicate fans. It has a wide variety of games included, from Pac-Mania and Pac & Pal to Galaga and Dig Dug....

Following last week’s rumour, Capcom has confirmed in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu (via Gematsu) that Okami HD will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’ll receive a digital release in Japan on December 21 for consoles and will be preceded by the PC version on December 13. According to the article, the PS4 version of the game will be the only one that’ll get a physical release in Japan....
