Now, behind-the-scenes content is trickling out, including an explanation of the series’ gang fight scene from the beginning of the show. Sonic Frontiers got a new trailer during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. The trailer shows some gameplay featuring how Sonic can freely dash through open zones, taking advantage of his speedy skills, as well as the mysterious Cyber Space Zone. We get a great look at how Sonic can lock onto enemies and attack them in combinations and deflect attacks with careful timing, which we saw in some previous trailers....

Electronic Arts might be preparing to reveal its next Star Wars game in June, according to Bloomberg and former Kotaku games reporter Jason Schreier, who commented on a post published by EA Motive’s new Twitter handle. While at Kotaku, Schreier broke the story that game studio EA Motive was working on a “smaller, more unusual Star Wars project” codenamed Project Maverick. The existence of Project Maverick seemed to be confirmed back in March when a listing for the game was leaked on the PlayStation Network....

Prolific streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has announced that he has signed an exclusivity deal with Microsoft to stream on Mixer in the future. Once the most popular force on Twitch, Blevins has decided he wants to get back to basics with his streaming roots and rebuild a new community that isn’t focused solely on Fortnite. Did you want to get a Nintendo Classic Mini: SNES Edition and couldn’t get a preorder anywhere? Worry not, as Nintendo UK has confirmed that it’ll continue stocking the console until 2018 at the very least. It’s also confirmed that the Nintendo Classic Mini: NES Edition will be making its return to shops in the UK next summer. In a tweet, Nintendo UK stated that, ‘We’re happy to confirm that we’ll continue to ship stock of #SNESmini to Europe in 2018,’ following this with a second tweet saying that, ‘next summer we’ll also bring the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System back to Europe....

Sony has unveiled its November lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers and the list is pretty good. Those with a taste for the brutal and challenging will be well served with Nioh while anyone looking for a more scary time would do well to boot up Outlast II. It’s difficult to separate Obsidian’s miniscule survival game from its influences. A story involving shrunken people exploring a back yard is not a new idea. Bandai Namco has released a trailer for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch title One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition, showing some updated visuals of the enhanced 2013 title (via Siliconera). The Deluxe Edition will include all the previously released DLC, and run at 60fps at 1080p on PS4 and Switch. As well as that, there is a brand-new offline co-op option that will allow players to transform from a one piece to a two piece....

The Straw Hat Pirates are back again with a PC port for One Piece Odyssey. For the most part, I’ve got pretty good things to say about this offering. The draw distance is on the short side, sure (lots of pop-in), but I’ve had very few issues with it, save for a single crash. Although the game allows for uncapped framerates, I chose to play it at 4K, which netted me a mostly consistent 60 fps....

Overwatch 2 is coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and even Switch sometime in the, hopefully, near future. The sequel to Overwatch was announced at Blizzcon 2019, and soon after, it was revealed the Overwatch 2 would be coming to current gen consoles. But, as of the time of this writing, there are no announcements regarding bringing the game to next gen consoles. The Xbox Scarlett and PS5 are set to launch one year from now, in Holiday 2020, and the release date for Overwatch 2 has not been confirmed by Blizzard....

Blizzard has dropped the first character trailer for Sojorn, the first new hero debuting in upcoming sequel Overwatch 2. It turns out that Sojorn is a former captain of the Canadian special forces. In universe, she teamed up with the Overwatch during the events of the Omnic Crisis. It was during this time she fought alongside Jack, also known as Soldier 76. Upon the conclusion of the war, Soldier 76 reached out to Sojorn to join the Overwatch squad proper....
