Mexican-flavoured adventure game Mulaka hits PS4 and PC today, and Lienzo’s marked the occasion with a visually-striking launch trailer for your viewing pleasure. The game will roll out for Switch and Xbox One on March 1 and March 2, respectively. Just in case Mulaka has gone under your radar, the game plucks its visual cues from Mexico’s Sierra Tarahumara region, and blends platforming and hand-to-hand combat while clearly taking influence from video game heavyweights such as Okami and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time....

NBA 2K20 has achieved an unfortunate distinction just six days after the basketball simulator’s launch. NBA 2K20 is now the second lowest-rated game on Steam, trailing behind FlatOut 3: Chaos & Destruction. Where FlatOut 3 is poorly reviewed due to its technical incompetence, NBA 2K20 has earned this distinction for another reason - its microtransactions. Starting shortly after its launch on Steam, NBA 2K20 became the target of a review bomb, when a large group of organized individuals used Steam’s review system to deliver a high amount of extremely negative reviews over a short period of time....

The latest entry in EA’s long running Need for Speed series comes out next week on November 10, and so the publisher has released a launch trailer for the racer to mark the occasion. This iteration takes players to Fortune Valley for their hi-octane car japes, with the return of car customisation options and a very Burnout-Takedown-a-like systems heading up the gameplay features. Netflix’s The Witcher will possess and develop its own fantasy flavour and won’t be reproducing the look of the The Witcher games, as stated by showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (via CBR). A new set of Overwatch skins look like they’ve just been leaked by an Imgur user. Raulrsd posted images of Tracer, Torbjorn, Mercy and Reinhardt wearing swanky new blue gear that they spotted on the Xbox One dashboard. The uniforms look like the Leicester City kit if Jamie Vardy went to war in some sci-fi epic set in the distant future. The outfits aren’t too dissimilar to the ones seen in the recent Overwatch comic titled Uprising....

Nintendo has released a new firmware update for Nintendo Switch which should make updating games easier if you’re running low on disk space. As per the latest patch notes, the Ver. 12.1.0. update adds the functionality to delete old update data for a game, should you find yourself with not enough space remaining on the drive to download a patch. Previously, you would have to clear room before downloading the patch by removing other games and/or data, so this should make data management much simpler....

The development of Nioh 2 is progressing nicely. Team Ninja is even confident enough with the state of the game that it’s announcing the action RPG’s open beta release date. Sony’s official PlayStation Twitter account made the announcement Sunday afternoon. Nioh 2 will be holding an open beta starting November 1 and ending on November 10. The open will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and free to all PS4 owners to download....

Monolith have announced during a recent live stream that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will soon be receiving a free DLC addon.
