Oculus has already discounted the Oculus Rift significantly and it can be picked up a little cheaper thanks to Black Friday deals. The Oculus Rift and Touch controllers can be picked up for a limited time at £349.00 (down from £399.00). The full package includes the Rift headset, 2 x Oculus sensors, 2 x Touch controllers, all required connection cables, Lucky’s Tale, Medium, Toybox, Quill, Dead and Buried, Dragon Front and Robo Recall....
Oculus have announced that people will be able to order themselves a Rift headset from 6 January. In what is almost certainly not a coincidence, that’s the same day the Consumer Electronics Show kicks off in Las Vegas. The actual release date of the device is still a bit nebulous (and we know that the touch controllers have already been delayed), but it’s likely to be in the first few months of 2016....

UPDATE – 11/12: Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4 ‘A Block and a Hard Place’ will release on PC/Mac, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS and Android on December 22 and conclude the story of the Wither Storm, Telltale has confirmed. Episode 5 will launch in early 2016. “In Episode Four, with the fearsome Wither Storm more dangerous than ever, Jesse, Reuben, and the crew discover there is one thing that can destroy the command block at the heart of the monster – but they’ll need to brave the perils of the Farlands to find it,” Telltale says....
This Miss Sherlock review is based on the series’ first two episodes. Miss Sherlock, the female-led Japanese adaptation now available to stream on HBO, isn’t an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s as much as it is an adaptation of BBC’s Sherlock. The similarities aren’t subtle: Miss Sherlock‘s Sherlock plays a stringed instrument, solves mysteries in a signature coat, and has an older, disapproving brother who works for the government....
Shigeru Miyamoto is “not actively participating” in the development of Nintendo’s upcoming NX console, instead taking a step back from hardware design to focus more on software development. “I’ve pulled myself back out of some of the hardware section and I’m really focused on some of the software that I’m involved in-for example, the new Starfox game,” Miyamoto explained in an interview with Fortune. “Of course I am observing and looking at the hardware, but I am not actively participating and making decisions....

But compared to last year’s Call of Duty title, Black Ops 4, it was lacking somewhat in content. Modern Warfare launched with a very short campaign, multiplayer, and spec ops missions. Black Ops 4 launched with multiplayer, zombies, and Blackout. The content in Black Ops 4 had a drastically longer life span compared to Modern Warfare....
They say that there’s no such thing as bad publicity, which is probably exactly what Sea of Thieves’ Community Video Manager, Jon McFarlane, was thinking as a monkey crawled up on his shoulder during Monday’s live stream, and proceeded to vomit all over him on camera. To add authenticity to the announcement that player pets will be included in the Pirate Emporium update, Jon introduced a live squirrel monkey, named Antonio, at the beginning of the stream....
The Monster Hunter movie has been delayed and will now premiere in 2021 (via PC Gamer). Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, this adaptation follows a group of soldiers who are transported into the world of the game. This premise sounds eerily like the Super Mario movie, but Anderson is a massive fan of the Monster Hunter series, and had been chomping at the bit to sign onto the project. We also know that all of the armor and weapons that the Hunters will wear will be based on the equipment from the series....

As promised last week, Capcom has unveiled the details of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne’s 2020 roadmap. As expected, the first few updates are for the PC version and will include things like the Rajang battle and Resident Evil 2 crossover event. Safi’jiiva and Stygian Zinorge will also be coming a month later in March with endgame area “The Guiding Lands” getting fully updated. What is more striking is the announcement that the PC and console versions of Iceborne will become synchronized in April....

Moss: Book II was announced as a bit of a surprise this year, and quickly made its way to the PSVR soon after that. The game was generally pretty well-received, and served as a nice continuation to Quill’s story. For VR fans who don’t have a PSVR, however, Polyarc announced during the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase today that the game would be coming to Quest 2 later this year. The game has already been listed on the Oculus website, and players can start adding it to their wishlists....
Bandai Namco has announced that Mr. Driller DrillLand will arrive on Xbox and PlayStation consoles on November 4. The game is the newest entry in the long-running puzzle series, and is a remaster of the 2002 iteration that originally released in Japan on the GameCube. It’s of course had a spit and polish, with updates to the gameplay, graphics and cutscenes too. As always, you’ll be destroying colourful blocks while trying to avoid running out of air or being crushed....
