Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World will be getting a slew of fresh content later this month, chief among which includes a brand new threat to tackle in the shape of the golden, hulking Kulve Taroth. The beast will cough some handsome rewards when defeated, Capcom says, although vanquishing the foe won’t be a walk in the park. To tie-in with this new enemy, the development team is introducing a new quest mode known as Siege....
Throughout history, many games have found themselves stuck in development hell. Infamously, 2K Games’ Duke Nukem Forever stayed in development for a staggering fifteen years. Similarly, Wizard Mode’s MoonQuest started life back in 2012 and, eight years later, has finally come to see the light of day. Hopefully, this new adventure will be better received than the Duke’s. MoonQuest is a procedurally generated adventure game that has the player explore a variety of environments....
Mortal Kombat 11 fans finally got a good look at Spawn, the brutal fighting game’s latest guest character, this week, and developer NetherRealm Studios has unveiled the antihero’s cosmetic options for players to choose from in a video shared by YouTuber unCAGEDgamez. Spawn’s appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 wraps up the game’s initially announced Kombat Pack of additional characters for the roster, which also included MK mainstays like Sindel and Nightwolf alongside the title’s other guest characters, the Terminator and the Joker....

Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones (Ser Loras Tyrell, brother to Natalie Dormer’s Margaery) has been cast as the lead in Netflix and Marvel’s Iron Fist series, reports Variety. Jones will star as Daniel “Danny” Rand, who returns to New York City after being missing for years to fight criminals. Danny has the advantage of being able to use Kung-Fu and the ability to summon the power of the Iron Fist....
Streaming giant Netflix is in the early stages of developing a new live action series based on Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise, reports WSJ. The firm is currently seeking writers for the project, but has described it as Game of Thrones for a family audience. The series is believed to follow the game franchise’s traditional storyline of a boy named Link who must rescue a princess named Zelda and save the world of Hyrule....

Not too long ago, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot confirmed there would be a Dragon Ball finding mechanic in the game. How Dragon Balls are discovered and every single wish that can be made has yet to be revealed, but players will be able to come across them in the open-world sections of the game. Once they’re all gathered, players get to make their wish, with only one type of wish currently being known: Dragon Balls can be used to revive enemies in DBZ: Kakarot and re-fight them for some incredibly odd pair ups....

Cassie Cage hasn’t been around in the Mortal Kombat universe for that long. Nintendo is celebrating its most profitable year to date according to its financial results for the year ending March 31, 2021 which the company released overnight, with 84.59 million Nintendo Switch consoles sold. As first spotted by Eurogamer, the figures released to investors this morning also include 587.1 million games sold, giving the company an operating profit of $6 billion USD and its second-best year of revenue with over $16.6 billion USD....

Capcom has announced that the Nintendo Switch version of classic action role-playing game Okami will launch on August 9. Originally released back in 2006 for PlayStation 2, Okami was developed by Clover Studios, a now-defunct Capcom subsidiary featuring veteran game developers including Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kamiya and Resident Evil mastermind Shinji Mikami. Okami features a bunch of new additions for its Switch debut, including prettier visuals and both touch screen/motion controls....
