The first episode of Telltale’s Minecraft adventure Minecraft: Story Mode will launch digitally on October 13 and at retail two weeks later on October 30, the developer has announced. The game will debut digitally on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, before heading to iOS and Android on October 15. The series will launch on Wii U and PS Vita at a later date. The physical version will ship with the first episode on disc, and digital access to the four later episodes as they become available to download....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out this weekend, and players are now free to start grinding for all sorts of sweet rewards. In a departure from recent entries in the series, Modern Warfare is placing greater focus on letting players unlock stuff for free, as evidenced by its move from Season Passes to a Battle Pass. What’s more, it’s possible to earn some of these rewards without even playing the game....

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is for many more exciting than the release of Infinite Warfare, but just how good a job has the team at Raven done with the overhaul? In a livestream held last night, Infinity Ward, which is acting as exec producer on the remaster, showed off some before and after shots of some of the 10 included multiplayer maps – Crash, Backlot and Crossfire. As you can see, Modern Warfare Remastered isn’t just an upres to 1080p and solid 60 frames per second, but a total overhaul with “fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound, and much more”....

An upcoming event for the anime My Dress-Up Darling has been revealed on the official site happening on September 17. This live in-person event will have a limited amount of seats and a lottery for ticket sales. However, for those who purchased the Blu-ray & DVD (limited edition) volume five of the My Dress Up Darling anime, special advance ticket priority will be available. Other than that, only limited details have been given....

Here’s a familiar tale. A new Need for Speed comes out to zero fanfare and turns out to be pretty decent; decent enough, even, to feel like a return to form for EA’s long-running series after it had experienced a fallow spell. The thing is, I’d understand if you weren’t aware: when it came out back in 2019 Need for Speed Heat received such a muted reception it barely registered beyond the series’ faithful....

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening was first released on the Game Boy in June of 1993, becoming the first game in the series to make its way to a handheld console. The game received high praise from consumers and critics and helped to raise sales of the Game Boy by 13 percent, while also remaining a bestseller more than ninety months after its initial release....

A new update for Pokemon GO is now rolling out worldwide, which introduces Pokemon Appraisal system. “Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokemon’s attack and defence capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokemon have the most potential for battle,” reads the patch notes for version 0.35.0 on Android and 1.5.0 for iOS. Essentially this means players can now have a better idea of which Pokemon you should be feeding with Candy and Stardust....

Today Level Infinite and Hotta Studio revealed another trailer of the upcoming online RPG Tower of Fantasy. Like some of the trailers released in the past focusing on running and motorcycling, this one also shows one method of traversal, displaying a variety of characters taking a swim across Planet Aida’s seas and lakes. On top of the trailer, we also learn that Tower of Fantasy has passed 2.5 million pre-registrations, unlocking the Star Sand outfit for everyone on top of 4 Gold Nucleus, 10 Nut Tea, and 6,888 gold....

Although the fantasy action RPG Gothic did not make a huge splash in terms of sales, it still managed to garner a fair bit of praise from fans and critics alike. With this in mind, THQ Nordic no doubt captured the attention of fans when it released a playable demo of a potential Gothic remake in 2019 to gauge player reactions. The announcement in early 2020 that a complete remake would indeed happen confirmed that the demo ended up successful....

Right on cue, with Apex Legends’ current season rapidly racing towards its conclusion, developer Respawn Entertainment has started cranking the hype handle for the free-to-play battle royale shooter’s imminent thirteenth instalment - confirming that Newcastle will play a major role when it launches on 10th May. Newcastle, who’ll be Season 13’s latest playable hero (sorry to disappoint if you had other ideas), is described as the Hero of Harris Valley, but, more importantly in lore terms, has a direct connection to another Apex Legends character - with Respawn confirming Newcastle to be none other than Jackson Williams, the long-missing brother of Bangalore....

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has just announced that he now has his very own skin in Fortnite and it looks just like him. After his announcement yesterday, that simply told us he was making an announcement, a nervous-looking Ninja first revealed the news on his Mixer stream before posting a render of the skin to social media. The limited-edition skin is part of Fortnite’s Icon Series and will be available from Thursday, January 16 at 6 pm CST until Sunday, January 19 at 7 pm in the item store....

The fan favourite Miis from the Nintendo Wii era are not done yet, as the bobble-headed avatars are now coming to Mario Kart Tour. Nintendo released a new trailer for its latest Mario Kart Tour update which shows off the Miis in all their racing glory. Players will have a new selection of racing suits to choose from when this update goes live, including (but not limited to) Peach, Donkey Kong and Mario inspired outfits....

Nintendo, partnered with DeNA, was widely rumored to have had a Legend of Zelda mobile title in the works back in 2017. The same rumor spread the belief that it would release following Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Well, Animal Crossing’s mobile release passed with no sign of Zelda in the wake. Now, as 2019 begins to peter out, there has been an influx of mobile titles released by Nintendo, yet still no sign of a Zelda release on the horizon....
