A new 1TB PlayStation 4 bundle is due to release in the UK this Friday, July 15, it’s been revealed. Ahead of its November release, developer Sports Interactive has revealed some of the new features coming to Football Manager 2023. The reveal was made in an in-depth 40-minute feature reveal posted on the game’s official YouTube channel. Nintendo’s latest quarterly earnings report has been released and the numbers reveal that the Nintendo Switch has outsold the Xbox One’s most recent estimated figures. The current best-selling console of this generation is the PlayStation 4, with 102.8 million units sold to date, making it the second best-selling home console of all time. The Nintendo Wii U faltered during its run, selling only 13.56 million units, but the Nintendo Switch has stormed ahead in just two years and has already outsold the GameCube and the Nintendo 64....

Yesterday all Oculus Rift hardware stopped functioning thanks to an out of date certificate which was not spotted by Oculus. A fix (patch) can now been applied and the following notes have been released by Oculus to get gamers back up and running. Go to https://www.oculus.com/setup. Click Download Oculus Software to download OculusSetup.exe. Open OculusSetup.exe and follow the onscreen instructions to install the latest version of the Oculus app. Thankfully this was addressed reasonably quickly but it was a rather embarrassing mistake by the company....

The popular cloud-based game platform OnLive has officially opened up pre-orders for its TV game system. On December 2, 2010, OnLive’s MicroConsole will begin shipping, just in time for the holiday season. The MicroConsole is currently priced at $99, and those who pre-order the system will get a free full PlayPass for any game, with no limitations placed on the title of choice. That means that in addition to the MicroConsole, OnLive customers can get Batman: Arkham Asylum, which normally costs $39....
Developer Glumberland announced recently that “We did the thing”, referring to signing on with Epic Games for a PC exclusive release. Unlike other developers, Glumberland then released a thoughtful blog post discussing exactly why the decision had been taken, which casts a light on the issues faced by small developers attempting to compete in the busy and all but saturated video game market. A Higher Level obviously means better resources. However, the difficulty does go up too significantly. Players who have experienced the pre-release demo can attest to this.
