The future of competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! has just gotten a whole lot cleaner, as a new addition has been added to the official rules document laid out by Konami Digital Entertainment for tournaments in the United States of America, which states that players have to maintain a basic level of hygiene, or they will be penalized. The official Yu-Gi-Oh! tournament rules for the United States of America were updated as of April 3, 2019, and they included several new additions, such as duelists not being allowed to use electronic devices other than a calculator during a game, but the most striking new rule is one that gives tournament organizers the power to penalize players who do not meet basic hygiene standards....

Bandai Namco Games has announced that the first batch of DLC for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will drop on August 9. The DLC will be free to download and is known as the Adventure Pack, with particular emphasis on experienced players. Here, you’ll find that the Faraway Forest has gained some extra floors, which will reward you with fresh clobber for Evan and chums upon completion. If that wasn’t enough, Ni no Kuni II owners can also square up against new bosses including Blackhart and Zeta, while fresh quests will be made up for grabs after finishing the story....

Soulcalibur VI is getting a new guest character. Bandai Namco announced that 2B, one of the main protagonists of 2017’s NieR: Automata, will be joining the roster. According to her character trailer, 2B will come complete with an alternate outfit, her own stage, and background music. 2B is an unexpected, welcome surprise. Soulcalibur VI launched with one guest star: Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series. While Geralt was an excellent choice, the game could have used at least one more popular guest character to bring in newcomers to the series....

The Entertainment Software Association has announced that Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony are working on new policies which will require games that include loot boxes to disclose the odds of obtaining specific types of loot. The statement was made at the Federal Trade Commission’s Inside the Game workshop, as reported by gamesindustry.biz. Michael Warnecke, Chief counsel of tech policy, made the comments while talking about the industry’s attempts to address lootbox concerns....

Action RPG Nioh has today unveiled a new trailer for the Complete Edition of the game which is set to drop on Steam on November 7. As previously reported, the Complete Edition comes with the Dragon of the North, Bloodshed’s End and Defiant Honor DLC packs from the PS4 version bundled in, as well as adding the ability to play in a 60FPS mode or in 4K should you so desire....

The Walking Dead TV series has gone downhill with every new season but it’s still popular enough for Overkill to be creating a new game based on the franchise. Capcom had a bit of a Monster Hunter party earlier today, if you didn’t know. The developer showed off a new title update for its latest mon’ hun’, Monster Hunter Rise, which is scheduled to hit PC early next year.
