Monster Hunter World is an action-packaged hack and slash that has taken the world by storm. While the previous Monster Hunter games haven’t been as popular, World sold more than 13 million copies. Admittedly, many of those players likely put down their copy after a few months of thinning the massive monster population, but the new Iceborne expansion should make them want to dust their copies off and dive back in (since it’s been a while, check out our Monster Hunter World: Iceborne How to Start Guide)....
Monster Hunter World is finally getting its first big expansion, Iceborne. Capcom has not revealed much about the upcoming DLC, other than it promises to be a massive update that continues the game’s story. But, one can assume based on the “ice” in the name that it’s likely to take place in an arctic environment. December’s big reveal indicated that new quests, higher ranks, and some fresh moves are coming. And the new terrain includes the possibility of bringing back some old favorites....
The long-awaited Mortal Kombat 11 Joker DLC is now available to Kombat Pack owners, but the Clown Prince of Crime didn’t come alone. Mortal Kombat 11 is now full of DC Comics skins, which have their own set of cosmetics to unlock. This includes a Baraka Killer Kroc skin that features a special banner with a clever Batman easter egg. The Baraka Killer Kroc skin, based on the Batman villain and DC Comics character Killer Croc, has a special banner that Mortal Kombat 11 players can unlock called Suicide Squad....
NetherRealm has lifted the veil on another returning fighter for Mortal Kombat 11, and he should be familiar to anyone who played the previous entry in the bloody decapitate-’em-up franchise. Kotal Kahn, who was introduced in Mortal Kombat X, is back once again as a playable character. He’s the emperor of Outworld, and is capable of channelling the power of sunlight and transforming himself into a blood-thirsty beastie of sorts....

Netflix made known its plans for an E3 panel is a Twitter exchange. While it might not be unusual for a streaming service to have a panel at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, there was one surprising bit of news. Netflix has multiple video games on the way based on its original shows. The tweets were meant to look like casual banter between Netflix and the official E3 account. The Netflix account asks E3 for an invite, and E3 agrees....
God of War developer Sony Santa Monica Studio has revealed that it’s keen on keeping future instalments in the PlayStation-exclusive franchise locked in Norse mythology for the time being. Speaking during an interview with JagatPlay, the company’s Senior Community Strategist, Adam Kauffman, heavily indicated that not only are they happy with the current setting for Kratos’ adventures, but his young son Atreus will probably be joining him for more limb-ripping antics....

Capcom has released some new screenshots of the upcoming Resident Evil 7 DLC, Not a Hero, ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, which takes place this week. Not A Hero sees the return of series regular Chris Redfield, and will be released on December 12, which is the same day as Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition. In the screens, we see Redfield stamping on the head of a Molded, while another shows a behind-the-character shot of Redfield in a cave of some sort, and the final screen shows a first-person perspective as the player makes their way up some stairs in the cave area....

New look and gameplay elements revealed on Youtube Nexon recently revealed the first gameplay video for its upcoming MMORPG MapleStory 2. Captured directly from the game engine in its Alpha state, the video highlights how the game will play in full 3D, including sequences of combat, skills, new environments and boss fights. New gameplay elements to the MapleStory franchise including wall-climbing, swimming and driving are also showcased. Following on from this asset release, Nexon Korea has announced its plans to recruit MapleStory 2 supporters who will be invited to an exclusive ‘Supporter’s Day’ in late June, where they will get to see the game as well as discuss its progress with the developers....
Update: The Nintendo NX will not run on the Android operating system from Google, Nintendo has confirmed to WSJ. “There is no truth to the report saying that we are planning to adopt Android for NX,” said a Nintendo spokesperson. Original report: The Nintendo NX, Nintendo’s in development gaming platform, will run on Google’s Android OS, a report in Japanese newspaper Nikkei has claimed. Nintendo has recently said that an issue with the Wii U has been its system software and the inability for developers to easily bring titles to the platform....
Hello Games released a new update for No Man’s Sky, and it brings the Void Ships (via PlayStation Blog). These are biological creatures that were borne of ancient experiments. They look a little like big ol’ squids, but naturally, all of the Void Ships are procedurally generated like the rest of No Man’s Sky. As a result, the player must incubate and nurture their development towards traits that they want in their ship....
A limited edition No Man’s Sky PS4 faceplate will be released in the same week as the game, Hello Games has announced. You can see what it looks like above. Based on the new Ampere GPU architecture, the GeForce RTX 3060 aims to be Nvidia’s entry-level option for all gamers that want to experience RTX and DLSS performance on their PCs.
