Netflix’s second Resident Evil adaptation - this one a live-action escapade through New Racoon City starring the Wesker kids - will be coming to the streaming service on 14th July. Not to be confused with last year’s four-episode CGI effort Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, or indeed the non-Netflix-related live-action movie reboot Welcome to Raccoon City, the series known only as Resident Evil splits its narrative across two timelines, straddling either side of a global apocalypse caused by a deadly virus....

While Pokemon may be the more popular franchises overall, Digimon has built up its own respectable following, largely thanks to the well-received Digimon anime series. The original Digimon anime series in particular was quite popular, spawning a sequel series, films, and more. Other Digimon anime series have been set in other areas with different characters, but now Toei Animation is bringing back the original cast for a 2020 reboot. The new Digimon Adventure anime series will feature the same cast of human characters and partner Digimon that fans will remember from the original show....

Bandai Namco has started distributing a patch for Elden Ring which will focus on improving gameplay stability. Today, publisher Bandai Namco released its new patch notes for Xbox and PlayStation consoles (sorry, no news on the PC version as yet). Bandai Namco asks that players “please apply the latest patch before playing the game”, and apologises for the inconvenience this may have caused. Earlier today, the Total War YouTube channel published yet another trailer for the upcoming Total War: Warhammer III dubbed Enter the World of Slaanesh. Much like other trailers for the game, it doesn’t show off gameplay, but it does allow eager fans to see more of the Slaanesh Chaos faction. According to a press release, the Slaanesh faction worships a young Chaos God, also named Slaanesh, who dedicates himself “to the pursuit of excess, gratification, hedonism, pain and perfection at the expense of any other soul....

Bandai Namco has revealed a new trailer for Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom just in time for Gamescom 2017. The trailer showcases the game’s new combat system for dynamic battles alongside Level-5’s emotional story. Get the tissues ready, I’ve got something in my eye. The events of Ni No Kuni II are set hundreds of years after the original game and feature an all-new cast of characters in a new story, with players taking control of Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a young usurped king of the cat tribe, as he sets out on an adventure to reclaim his kingdom....

Ninja may now be the world’s most famous livestreamer, but it turns out he was on TV before then. The Family Feud television show, which is hosted by Steve Harvey, recently published a few episodes of its show online. The episodes feature none other than Ninja competing alongside his family. Not only that, but Ninja and his family were successful enough at the show to earn over $40,000. Not quite what Ninja’s probably making after his new contract with Mixer, but impressive for Family Feud....

There may be no more new characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (and series creator Masahiro Sakurai can finally take a bit of a break), but that doesn’t mean the series is quite finished yet. For fans looking to complete their amiibo collection, there’s now an official release date for Final Fantasy 7’s Sephiroth and Tekken’s Kazuya Mishima. Minecraft’s Steve and Alex were the most recent amiibo to be released, after they were delayed to September earlier this year....

It’s probably to do with Nintendo’s spectacular results as announced in the company’s Financial Results Briefing yesterday. In the presentation, President of Nintendo Tatsumi Kimishima revealed that sales of Super Mario Odyssey had surpassed 2 million units in just 3 days of release, making it the biggest Switch launch to date and the sixth biggest Nintendo launch of all time in the UK....

Astral Chain is getting review bombed on Metacritic for what appears to be a pretty dumb reason. The latest action-adventure game to come out of PlatinumGames, Astral Chain takes players on a different journey. While there’s still plenty of hack-and-slash action, players assume the role of a special forces police officer investigating crimes with the help of astral familiars. Which, yeah, sounds like a PlatinumGames joint. With Nier: Automata lead designer Takahisa Taura at the helm and Devil May Cry and Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya looking over his shoulder, it was pretty much a guarantee that Astral Chain would be a hit....

Activision has announced that Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 will release worldwide on November 10, 2009. Interestingly the press release indicates the game will launch without the strength of the Call of Duty brand, simply to be known as Modern Warfare 2. “Everyone on the team is laser focused on making the most gripping experience we’ve ever created,” said Infinity Ward’s CEO, Vince Zampella. “No detail is too small and every finishing touch imaginable is underway to make Modern Warfare 2 our best ever....

No Man’s Sky has had a very strong redemption story. Originally released six years ago to widespread criticism over missing features, overblown promises, and barren content, the game has since expanded massively - delivering a transformed experience. Nowadays, it’s an acclaimed sandbox title, with a wealth of customisation and base-building potential… which brings us to the new Switch release. No Man’s Sky is a fascinating and unique title. Fundamentally, most of what you see is based on procedural generation - the world geometry, weather, flora and fauna, and texturing are largely generated in real-time according to a preset seed code....

Hello Games have announced that their massive space game No Man’s Sky will release onto the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 7, 2022. The Nintendo Switch port of the originally PlayStation 4 exclusive was first announced in February during a Nintendo Direct. Though, that original reveal was obviously a little off for the “this summer” estimation. Another slice of news is that the Nintendo Switch version will be getting a physical release as well as digital....

Today Koei Tecmo released a new set of art portraying relevant warlords that will appear in the upcoming strategy game Nobunaga’s Ambition: Shinsei. We get to see Hojo Ujiyasu, Imagawa Yoshimoto, Kosa, and Chosokabe Motochika. You can check them all out in the gallery below. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Shinsei will release on July 21 in Japan for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. At the moment, there is no information about a western release....

Arguably, the nuke is one of the most sought after killstreaks across the Call of Duty franchise. Although the nuke works slightly differently from title to title, the killstreak has the same general purpose in all of the games. Once you earn the nuke, you can call it in and it will wipe the lobby. In Modern Warfare 2019, calling in a tactical nuke would also end the game. Now, the nuke killstreak is set to come to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War....

Nvidia has announced the launch of its GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card. The reveal came during the company’s keynote address at CES 2023 by Senior Vice President of Gaming Jeff Fisher in Las Vegas. Launching with an MSRP of $799 USD, the RTX 4070 Ti won’t have a Founders Edition version of the card. Instead, every card will come from AIB partners, all with their own separate pricing. The RTX 4080 12GB is back… sort of If you recall, the the RTX 4080 12GB was announced before being “unlaunched” by Nvidia last fall....

The original plan for Assassin’s Creed - back when the whole franchise was planned as a trilogy - would have seen series hero Desmond blasting off on a spaceship. Details of the idea, originally dreamed up by Assassin’s Creed co-creator Patrice Désilets, have been published by Lars de Wildt, a researcher of conspiracy theories, religion and other beliefs in digital media culture at Belgian research university KU Leuven. As a PhD student, de Wildt interviewed various former Assassin’s Creed developers back in 2019....

The biggest additions that came with Update 1.20 are Bamboo as a new building material and rideable camels that you can find roaming around the desert villages. Now, Mojang is bringing Halloween to the Minecraft marketplace with an array of skins and frightful maps for you to purchase. If that wasn’t enough, a crossover has also arrived between Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons, adding Halloween skins and more....

Minecraft has sparked the innate creativity of many players over the years, leading to a plethora of mansions, cathedrals, and replica locations from books and games. Now a Minecraft player has added to the list of impressive creations by building a playable slice of Metroid Fusion. A video posted on Reddit by Minecraft player Nyubug initially shows Samus Aran jumping through what looks to be a few levels of the 2002 Game Boy Advance game Metroid Fusion....

GamesIndustry.biz reports that HMV has secured the exclusive UK rights to sell the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition. The highly publicised box set will carry a £119.99 price tag and will include a copy of the game, a SteelBook case, hardbound art book, a download token for the original Call of Duty and a working set of night vision goggles complete with a Captain ‘Soap’ MacTavish bust on which to display them....

Variety Map Pack will launch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered first for PS4 on March 21, Activision has announced. The pack features four classic maps, completely remastered for the current generation consoles, plus 10 Rare Supply Drop which represent a value of $20. Broadcast: Based on the TV station from the campaign mission “Charlie Don’t Surf”, this map provides a unique blend of confined corridors and wide-open spaces. Outside the station, the parking lot contains long sightlines, but once inside, cramped hallways and a computer-cluttered broadcast room provide ample close-range combat opportunities....
