Capcom has announced that a remastered version of Onimusha: Warlords is coming to PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One in early 2019. The spruced up version of the PlayStation 2 samurai-’em-up will feature high-definition visuals, widescreen display, analog stick support, new soundtrack, and other bits and bobs. Onimusha: Warlords will be available to buy digitally for $19.99, while in the US a physical version will also be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One....

Riot announced a total of 120 skins in store for 2020 in League of Legends, more than any previous year, and Ornn and Taliyah will be getting some love. Ornn currently only has the Thunder Lord available, while Taliyah has her Freljord skin....

Team 17 has announced a festive free update for Overcooked 2, bringing with it a bunch of festive content for the co-operative cook-off game. The Winter Wonderland update, as it’s known, brings along five festively decorated kitchens based on those found in the game’s other DLC offerings including the Campfire Cook-Off and the Carnival of Chaos. There’s two new chefs in the form of Reindeer Chef and Present Head chef, and Horde Mode now features new seasonably-appropriate enemies....

Overwatch 2 still remains very mysterious, with only a few hints given about the game in the form of character redesigns and a couple of gameplay trailers. However, it seems that the game may be released sooner than previously thought, if a now-deleted tweet from PlayStation Brazil is to be believed. According to the company’s twitter, Overwatch 2 may be released this year. The tweet, posted by PlayStation Brazil on January 6th, says that “2020 will be the year Overwatch 2 comes to PS4....

After a very long wait for season 2, Netflix has finally delivered another dose of Mindhunter, but as viewers wrap up another delicious bingeing session, questions are now hanging in the air over whether a third season of the dark FBI profiling drama is in the pipeline. While no official announcement has yet been offered by the streaming giant, Mindhunter star Holt McCallany, who plays special agent Bill Tench in the well-received series, has been teasing some major changes in Mindhunter season 3, if it happens as planned....

The ever popular and still growing horror survival game Dead by Daylight got a new trailer this morning showcasing some new features for the game’s newest upcoming chapter. In the trailer, we see a neon colored street racer running from something on her very Akira inspired motorcycle only to come face to face with her pursuer. We find at the end of the trailer that this woman is named Kimura Yui, a vigilante street racer trapped in the Entity’s realm....

Nintendo has revealed a new multiplayer map for Splatoon 3, entitled Mincemeat Metalworks. It looks like a big industrial warehouse. The Splatoon team tweeted out the reveal of this new map, saying: “Squid Research Lab here with a meaty discovery—this is rare imagery of a new multiplayer stage. The facility was made FROM scrap metal in order to make MORE scrap metal. Also, there was a sea here that evaporated. Surely unrelated to heavy industry [ahem]!...

Nicalis and Studio Saizensen are co-working on a new ‘easy-input’ fighting game for Nintendo Switch, alongside the PlayStation 4 and PC versions. Last night Nicalis unveiled Blade Strangers during the Twitch official E3 live stream. Studio Saizensen also developed the Nintendo 3DS game Code of Princess a few years ago. Characters from that game will feature along with Kawase from the Umihara Kawase series and Curly from Cave Story. Blade Strangers game style is said to incorporate the speed and dynamism of Guilty Gear and Street Fighter, alongside the gameplay of Smash Bros....

Platinum Games’ stylish actioner Nier: Automata has eclipsed three million copies shipped across the globe, the game’s official Twitter account has said. The figure accounts for physical and digital copies moved, and is up on the 2.5 million sold back in March. I’m more excited by the fact the game’s director, Yoko Taro, celebrates his 48th birthday today alongside the hero of Nier Replicant.
