With the second Overwatch 2 beta in full swing, lucky players have shared new features and changes they’ve encountered. The original Overwatch wasn’t updated to natively support the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, so there’s huge expectation that the sequel will bring the latest and greatest tech features. Beta players have reported that the game will be able to run at 120 FPS with variable refresh rate (VRR) support. That’s a huge upgrade for console players who have been locked to 60 FPS on last-gen consoles....

Former professional boxer Mike Tyson will appear as a playable fighter in UFC 2, EA Sports has announced. There are three ways to unlock him: either by progressing to the Career Mode’s Hall of Fame, purchasing the UFC 2 Deluxe Edition, or pre-ordering the game to gain instant day-one access. Two ‘versions’ of Tyson will be included, including an 80s-version “Iron” Mike Tyson, and “Legacy” Mike Tyson based on his appearance at the end of his boxing career....

The Microsoft Store made a bit of a whoopsie today as it listed two previously unannounced retro collections from publisher Bandai Namco. The Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1 and Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2 are both listed on the store with a scheduled release date of June 18. The site listings claim that each volume will contain 11 Namco classics, some of which will be seeing their first official Western release....

THQ Nordic’s Darksiders 3 appears to be progressing along nicely, as demonstrated by some new gameplay footage released this week on the publisher’s YouTube account. The footage, embedded below, gives us a quick glimpse of some action starring horsewoman Fury, who’s on a mission to destroy physical manifestations of the seven deadly sins, although here she’s mainly whipping a very angry Lava Brute. Darksiders 3 still doesn’t have a firm release date outside of a ‘2018’ window yet, but when it does it’ll land on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4....

Gone are the promised days of new heroes simply releasing in a game. As Overwatch 2 transitions into a free-to-play model, the way players will be able to unlock new heroes will change as well. Flying in the face of new heroes simply being playable on release, a post on Resetera indicates that Overwatch 2 players may need the battle pass to unlock heroes instead. The leak did also potentially reveal the new “foxtail Support hero” coming to the game, Kiriko....

Back in January fans of Power Rangers learned through an IMDB post that Simon Bennett, director of many Ninja Steel and Beast Morphers episodes and producer of several well-known New Zealand dramas, had “taken over the reins as EP (executive producer) of Hasbro’s famed Power Rangers TV series.” He later stated that he was also the showrunner as well. At the time this left fans a bit confused since Chip Lynn, who’d worked on the show back in the 90’s and returned in 2015 for Dino Charge, was the executive producer....
