Middle Eastern Twitch streamers have had their accounts blocked for payouts. Mortal Kombat creator and NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon has been describing to EU PS Blog how the three million-selling Mortal Kombat has made the transition to PS Vita complete with 60 frames per second visuals. Avex revealed new key artwork for the second cour of the Muv-Luv Alternative anime series. The art portrays a Type-94 Shiranui TSF mecha in United Nations color, which will appear prominently in the second season of the anime. It also looks awesome, which never hurts. Nintendo has uploaded extended gameplay footage of Luigi’s Mansion 3 from Gamescom that shows off a botanical garden floor and new mechanics for single player and co-op play. The Poltergust — or souped up hoover — will be able to manipulate the environment and find rewards. For example, vacuuming up a football to throw at plant pots will shatter them and drop hearts. And in this section, shining Luigi’s torch at shrinking violets will make them bloom with coins....

A study conducted by Currys PC World into diversity and representation in video games has concluded that, although portrayal of race, gender and disabilities has improved in recent times, there remains bias toward the young, white, heterosexual male (via MCV). The methodology would award points to games that fulfilled various criteria; for example, a playable female character in a leading role would score four points, whereas a non-playable supporting female character would achieve three points....
