This was released for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and saw the introduction of new-gen features like 4K, high framerate, ray tracing, and 3D audio. Following in the footsteps of the next-gen patch, Capcom has released a follow-up patch to address a bevy of issues such as trophy transfer progress as well as various glitches and typos....

Nintendo’s next-generation console, codenamed NX, will release globally in March 2017, the company has confirmed. Nintendo describes the console as a “gaming platform” with a “brand new concept”. It has previously been rumoured to feature two units: a core, home console base, and a mobile handheld attachment. The console won’t be at this June’s E3, however, with Nintendo instead choosing to focus on the Wii U version of The Legend of Zelda....

Nintendo Germany has posted a new ad for Nintendo Switch, showing off the many scenarios in which you could enjoy playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The ad begins with someone sat on the toilet whilst playing, indicating that not only is Switch super portable, but that he also intends to be on the toilet for quite some time. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is scheduled to launch April 28, around two months after the Switch arrives worldwide on March 3....

Back in March, Gamescom - the world’s busiest annual game show - confirmed that it will return as an in-person event this year, running from 24th to 28th August at Cologne’s Koelnmesse convention centre. Nintendo, however, will not be there. Instead of “participating” in Cologne, Nintendo states that “instead, players will be able to try out the games for Nintendo Switch at numerous events throughout Germany”. “Gamescom is a key event in Nintendo’s calendar of events,” Nintendo said in a statement to Games Wirtschaft (thanks, VGC)....

Publisher Panic and developer Terrifying Jellyfish have announced food sandbox Nour: Play With Your Food will be delayed into Early 2022. The game was originally set to launch this Summer. However, as revealed in an update on the game’s Kickstarter, it will now release early next year. “Even though we’d love to serve this dish ASAP, we know the extra time will be great for the game,” designer TJ Hughes said....

According to sales data published by the NPD Group, for the four-week period ended November 28, 2009 in the US, Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has done what everyone expected and broken the previous sales record set by Halo 3. The latest in the Call of Duty franchise sold 4.2 million units on Xbox 360 and 1.87 million units on PS3. “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has achieved the top spot for first-month sales of any game at the title level,” said Anita Frazier....

Pre-orders can be placed from today priced £549, which includes VR platformer Lucky’s Tale, along with hundreds of free 3D 360 videos and VR movies. Oculus is also expanding the availability of the Oculus Rift demo experience across Europe and Canada, with more than 600 demo locations planned across the US, Canada and Europe by the autumn. Five years after the game’s initial launch in Japan, Square Enix is discontinuing worldwide support for its mobile RPG Mobius Final Fantasy this summer. Wednesday’s announcement follows the Japanese version of the game’s discontinuation, which happened at the end of last month. Mobius Final Fantasy’s end of service date has been set for June 30 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time, which will also mark the conclusion of its Warrior of Despair storyline....

Team 17 has announced an island based paid DLC for reckless removal game Moving Out entitled Movers in Paradise.
