Platinum Games has once again ventured into new territory, bringing along their signature style and crazy characters, for Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy in Japan). The game had a few fans scratching their heads at first, but now looks to be a logical progression from Platinum’s previous work. As was hinted at before, Anarchy Reigns looks to be a multiplayer fighting game that focuses on melee combat. This first look at the game in action, as brief as it is, seems to hint that players will essentially be running around a given area, and tasked with eliminating opponents in any way possible....

Destiny 2’s Season of Dawn is coming to a close, as the game transitions into the Season of the Worthy this March. Destiny 2 fans have been dissecting every piece of information, every reveal, speculating on what the future of the game holds. A trailer for Season 10 features Osiris and Rasputin, characters who featured prominently in Year 1 expansions Curse of Osiris and Warmind. The two characters do seem to be linked if fans dig into the game’s lore, with a prediction from the Infinite Forest drawing Osiris to Mars and into a confrontation with the Warmind Rasputin....

2K and Turtle Rock are still cranking out new DLC for its so-so team-based shooter Evolve, with news that Support class Hunter Kala is now ready to download. Kala utilises abilities similar to those possessed by Evolve’s various Monsters, and is available individually or as part of Hunting Season 2. The latter also includes Gorgon (Monster), Lennox (Assault class), Jack (Trapper class) and Emet (Medic class). Dr. Kala Kapur is an expert on Monster biology and has spliced their DNA into her own genome in order to control the Monsters’ abilities and use them in battle....

Pokémon details always leak - often months before launch, but especially in the last few weeks as retail copies begin appearing in the wild. Should you look at spoilers? For some, uncovering the many unannounced creatures as they play is a core part of the games. For others, knowing what your new Starter Pokémon will eventually evolve into is a big deal....

Square Enix made two new action figures dedicated to the popular NieR series available for pre-order, portraying 2B and Kaine respectively from NieR: Automata and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… The figure portraying 2B is actually the deluxe edition of the one released in 2021, which means plenty of new accessories. You can find it at AmiAmi priced at 16,300 yen, which translates into approximately $128. She will release in December 2022 and stands at approximately 254 mm tall....

Nintendo may distance itself from console development at some point in the future, company president Shuntaro Furukawa hinted during an interview with Nikkei (translated by Nintendo Everything). Furukawa-san stressed the importance of flexibility within the video games industry, stating the Big N isn’t ‘fixated on our consoles.’ For now though, the company is clearly focussed on supporting the Switch, which is approaching its two-year anniversary. ‘At the moment we’re offering the uniquely developed Nintendo Switch and its software – and that’s what we’re basing how we deliver the “Nintendo experience” on....

Switch’s Joy-Con controllers have become notorious for their struggles with “drift”, to the point that lawsuits have been launched over the issue, the EU has pledged to investigate, and Nintendo’s president has even formally apologised. A new report, though, shines additional light on the extent of the issue, claiming that Nintendo’s US arm was receiving “easily thousands” of faulty controllers a week for repair at the height of the problem....

Today, Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo published an announcement on Twitter that Nioh 2 has gone gold, well ahead of its release on March 13 for the PlayStation 4 (via Gematsu). That’s not to say friendly Yokai don’t exist, like the Sunekosuri, a cat that roly-polys around and gets in people’s way. Sort of like a normal cat, I guess. However, in Nioh 2, these will follow the player and refill their yokai meter when petted....

Team Ninja has announced that Nioh 2 has sold more than one million copies since its launch, and that there are new DLCs in development (via DualShockers). “We’re planning to release a total of three sizable & badass DLC batches over the next several months to provide you guys with additional challenges to keep you on the edge-of-your-seat,” said creative director Tom Lee in a post on the PlayStation Blog. “There will be new storylines, new yokai, ferocious new bosses, Guardian Spirits, new skills, fresh armor and a new weapon that alters the performance of skills outside of set stances....

Earlier this month Nioh released on PC but not without a few problems. The main issue with this KOEI Tecmo port was the controls, in fact, it was a game that totally failed to acknowledge the existence of a mouse. In Tim’s technical review of Nioh he wrote: “Let’s start off with the controls: this is yet another game which believes that mouse and keyboard is a fad, and basically directly maps controller inputs to the keyboard....

Cloudpunk developer Ion Lands just released a large DLC for that game, but its universe is about to get even more expansive. Nivalis, an upcoming slice-of-life sim that takes place in the same universe as Cloudpunk, has been announced. No release date is currently available, but the team is hard at work at taking the look and feel of its other work and applying it to a completely different type of experience....

It’s been nearly five years since Microsoft announced plans for the Steven Spielberg-backed Halo TV show, though it’s still yet to grace our screens. However, David Nevins, the Big Cheese at Showtime, has assured fans that the show is still very much in the pipeline. Speaking with TV Guide, Nevins confirmed that he’s already had a gander at the show’s scripts, despite the fact Joe Public has seen next to nothing on the much-anticipated project since its initial reveal....

Nvidia announced the potent RTX 40 Series at its GTC event on September 20. Unsurprisingly, the RTX 4090, 4080 16GB, and 4080 12GB Founder’s Edition models received the limelight during the event. It’s of no surprise that Nvidia’s AIB (add-in board) partners followed closely behind with reveals of custom RTX 40 Series models featuring massive cooler designs, overclocked performance, and blinged out looks. Build-A-Bear Workshop has just released a new Snorlax stuffed animal (or, more accurately, stuffed Pokémon) to join a team of eight other Pokémon. Available only through the company’s website, each come with its own unique costume. Snorlax gets its own pair of pajamas, and look, no messing around: they’re freaking adorable and extremely blessed. Each Pokémon is purchasable without their outfit, but we know you wouldn’t do Snorlax like that. Their outfits are one of three unique accessories that can come with each Pokémon, which also include a voice box that will play variations on the their cry—the different ways they say their own name—and a unique Build-A-Bear-branded Pokémon card....

Harley Quinn has really taken the DC world by storm in recent years, as Margo Robbie’s live-action performance in Birds of Prey, The Suicide Squad, and many more have brought life back to the character. But while her live-action adaptation has been turning heads, the animated version of the show has also been quite the hit. Starring Kaley Cuoco, the animated series of Harley Quinn takes a much more gruesome and comedic look at the DC universe, as the show surrounds the misadventures of everyone’s favorite “Maid of Mischief” as she looks to strike out on her own and take over Gotham city....

If you’ve ever been around a computer or known anyone who plays video games, I’m pretty sure there is a one hundred percent chance that you’ve seen the pervasive Vault-boy from the Fallout series. His face is plastered throughout each of the games as well as adorning all of the marketing materials reaching back to the series’ launch. Needless to say, he’s recognizable. Brian Menze, however, is not so recognizable. But he is quite relevant to the subject at hand, since he is the original artist that created all of the Vault-boy images that we have come to love and associate so much with the Fallout series....

The longest-running Pokémon manga series has ended and it’s being replaced with a brand new manga that has the same name, as Pocket Monsters is gone and it has been replaced with a new comic called—Pocket Monsters. Pocket Monsters was one of the first attempts to branch the Pokémon franchise out into other mediums, as it predated both the Pokémon anime and the Pokémon Adventures manga. Pocket Monsters was a comedy series starring Red and his mischievous Clefairy as they journeyed through each region from the games....

It’s no secret that Overwatch 2’s first week of launch has been a rocky one, but Blizzard is making an effort to make things right by giving players in-game goodies. In a new letter on the Overwatch website, the development team has reaffirmed their commitment to tackling the issues present in the title and keeping a clear line of communication with its player base. On that note, a new patch is slated to roll out later this week with an eye on increasing server stability, and Blizzard has also compiled a complete list of known issues in Overwatch 2 to be updated moving forward....
