Microsoft has confirmed it has rebranded its game development outfit, so wave goodbye to Microsoft Studios and say hello to….Xbox Game Studios! The organisation houses 13 game development studios, including those responsible for churning out entries in the Age of Empires, Forza, Gears, and Halo franchises that make up the bulk of Xbox’s exclusive slate. These include some of the studios that have been snapped up recently by Microsoft, such as Obsidian Entertainment, Ninja Theory, and Playground Games....

Capcom has detailed what’s coming in the next free update for RPG Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, coming later this week. Title Update 4 will be available from Thursday, September 30. It’ll include a new Monstie in the form of the Molten Tigrex. Alongside it will be the game’s next Co-Op exclusive Monster Quest challenging hunters with a High Difficulty Kulve Taroth. Four new quests will also be added, three of them Co-Op and one Delivery....

Mortal Kombat 11 fans finally have Sindel’s full story after the release of her character’s ending cut scene. The video was released November 21st, only days before early release players will get to fight with her in-game. Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest in the MK series, a bloody fighting game that celebrates violence for the sake of violence. This installment’s story mode features different endings for each character in the game, showing how that particular character would use (or benefit from) the powers of the final boss, a time-controlling, god-like Titan named Kronika....

Today 24 Entertainment released a new trailer showcasing the new hero coming to its game Naraka: Bladepoint. Her name is Justina Gu and her tagline is “Winter’s Grace.” We saw her teaser back in January and today we get to see her skills in action. Developers Awaken Realms Digital and Ovid Works have revealed a new multiplayer horror experience called Nemesis: Distress. Based on the popular Nemesis board game, Nemesis: Distress sees each player choose a character in a certain class. Each class will be able to take advantage of a special set of unique skills that, from a gameplay balance perspective, should be separate but equal. Every player will also be assigned a secret objective which must be carried out during the duration of a 40-minute scenario....

The New Xbox One Experience will be rolling out to all Xbox One Preview members “soon”, Microsoft has confirmed. The new dashboard is currently only available to those who have signed up to the Preview Program and opted in to receive the update. Earlier this week, the Joy-Con drift problem that has plagued players for months came to a head. On Reddit, almost 3,000 comments on one thread detail the hardware issue that causes the Switch analog sticks and D-pad to react when the player isn’t touching it. It’s frustrating and hampers gameplay, to the extent that Nintendo is in fact facing a class action lawsuit for the problematic phenomenon. Nintendo acknowledged the issue, but now the company has doubled down on their damage control strategy ahead of the Switch Lite’s arrival....
