The main console unit of Nintendo Switch is the LCD screen and detachable Joy-Con controllers, with the Dock simply providing some basic additional functionality, Nintendo has confirmed to IGN. Microsoft has fired shots at Sony over its decision not to allow Fallout 4 mods on PS4. UPDATE: EA has revealed more details on Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s EA/Origin Access trial, confirming that it will actually begin one day earlier on June 1, not the previously reported June 2. The trial will also be limited to 10 missions and 2 districts, but will offer access to the game’s ‘Social Play’ features, which presumably includes things like time trial leaderboards. It isn’t clear whether side-missions will also be available during the trial, however....

While the original garnered its fair share of attention, Monstrum 2 is aiming to bring the tension and atmosphere into a different sort of game. A new DLC pack has been rolled out for NASCAR Heat 2. Dubbed the ‘December Expansion Pack’, it includes quite a number of new paint schemes for the cars, and also four new challenges. It was released on the 21st for all versions of the game (PC, PS4 and Xbox One). This new pack comes in two sizes, Jumbo (which costs $9.99) and the value pack (which cost $4.99). Naughty Dog has lived up to many promises this week, delivering a meaty release date trailer for The Last Of Us 2 as well as allowing media to finally play the game and share their thoughts online.
