A listing for some potential DLC for BAFTA-winning exploration mystery Outer Wilds has been spotted on SteamDB, leading to speculation additional content may be on the way for the crtically acclaimed adventure soon. As spotted by Simon Carless on Twitter, the listing is entitled ‘Echoes of the Eye’ and though there’s not a huge amount to go on aside from that, the tweet was retweeted by both publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Mobius Digital Games accompanied by various combinations of the eye emoji, which appears to lend some credence to the discovery....

According to the latest financial report from Sega Sammy Holdings (via DualShockers), the next chapter in the Yakuza franchise, which stars a brand new protagonist, could be released during the company’s current financial year. In other words, by the end of March 2020. Sega hasn’t said much about the new Yakuza yet, other than the fact it won’t feature Kazuma Kiryu. Instead, it’ll introduce a new hero in the shape of Kasuga Ichiban, and will be released for the PlayStation 4....

The Nintendo Switch Online app got a huge update this morning. This new update sees changes being made to the app’s overall design, as well as the ability to see which of your friends are online. In addition to this, version 2.0.0 will also allow you to change your online-status settings and view your friend code without having to turn on your Nintendo Switch. On the App Store, Nintendo stated “other minor changes have also been implemented”....

Nioh 2 is the latest challenge from Team Ninja, following in the footsteps of its predecessor in numerous ways. Narratively-speaking, it is a prequel to the first game that puts players in control of someone else other than William, but development-wise, it is a clear sequel in the way that it takes and expands on the base content of the original. It feels like a natural progression of the series, but at the same time, it occasionally drops the ball in terms of maintaining the quality of the original Nioh....

No Man’s Sky has been coming to PS4 for what seems like forever, and it may now be coming a little later than announced. A ‘reliable’ Kotaku source has told the blog that the game will now miss its June 21 release date, and will be pushed back until at least July or August. This info was reportedly backed up by another source at GameStop, who divulged info that stores have been told to cover up the June 21 release date on newly received marketing materials....

Today brings the first two episodes of the new Obi-Wan Kenobi show for Disney+, so of course the bearded Jedi has also turned up in Fortnite’s item shop. The one downside? You can’t use Obi-Wan’s trusty lightsaber, which instead hangs limply from his trusty Jedi backpack. Fortnite has previously featured lightsabers as weapons - and very fun they are too. You can strike, block and perform a neat little combat roll while holding them, and players facing off against each other will often like to go one-on-one with you as a proper duel....

Aconcagua, a Japanese-only PS1 game, is finally receiving an English translation. Hilltop, a translator of Japanese games, is releasing a patch for the game - available from 11th July. Demimonde has lifted the curtains on a new psychedelic-flavoured platformer known as Octahedron. Due out on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on March 20, the Square Enix Collective-published title plucks inspiration from the precision platformers of the 80s and 90s, but puts a unique twist on things. The goal of Octahedron is pretty simple, with players required to simply reach to the top of each stage. However, the aforementioned twist comes into play here, as your character must concoct his own platforms in order to progress, all the while fending off approaching enemies and various hazards....

Codemasters’ upcoming off-road romp Onrush will be getting an early access beta on PS4, a listing on the PlayStation Store has revealed. Pre-orders for the adrenaline-pumping racer are now open, which includes the option to buy a £64.99 Digital Deluxe Edition of the game. The publisher also revealed that Onrush will be released in the UK on June 5. Production of new Xbox One consoles was quietly discontinued at the end of 2020, Microsoft said today. The news, initially broken by The Verge, comes just a day after Sony said it would continue to manufacture new PS4 units in 2022 to help alleviate PS5 scarcity. “To focus on production of Xbox Series X/S, we stopped production for all Xbox One consoles by the end of 2020,” Xbox exec Cindy Walker confirmed in a brief statement....
