Microsoft has said that it’s taken on board criticism aimed at the dashboard on the Xbox One, and the Xbox One X dashboard will prioritise performance over features. The focus is on streamlining the whole user-experience, with a big focus on pins rather than tiles. Speaking in an interview with VG247, Microsoft’s vice president of Xbox and Windows, Mike Ybarra, spoke about the launch of the original Xbox One, saying, ‘We had a lot of just general improvement to do in terms of the UI and the responsiveness of the UI....

Mojang Studios has announced that the next Minecraft Dungeons DLC known as Howling Peaks will arrive for the dungeon crawler in December, hot on the heels of the promised crossplay update arriving in November. Announcing the news at this weekend’s Minecraft Live event, the new DLC will include a new boss known as the Tempest Golem as well as new mobs, new maps and more. Bees are neutral mobs, and Bee Nests spawn naturally in Flower Forests, Plains, and Sunflower Plains biomes. If a Bee does sting the player, it will leave its stinger behind and die with no drops. Bees are attracted to flowers, gathering pollen from its favourite blooms with its friends, and returning back to the Bee Nest....

Today developer Areazero and publisher Playism released the early access version of their new Touhou Project game Valkyrie of Phantasm. The game is defined as a “high-speed aerial versus combat game” and it supports 1-2 players for the moment, albeit 4-player battles are planned to be added in a future update. Basically, characters can fly across the battlefield and fight each other with a wide range of spells and shooting attacks which add elements of “bullet hell” to the game....

New footage of next week’s 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack for Batman: Arkham Knight has been released as part of a new Arkham Insider video posted by Warner. The new video reveals that the tracks have been inspired by Batman: Returns, with the classic 1989 Batmobile racing around movie sets packed with nods to the iconic film.
