Microsoft had previously announced that it was bringing four Xbox 360 Halo (Halo: CE Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo ODST and Halo 4) games to the Xbox One through its backwards compatibility program. Now the current Halo developer 343 Industries has given an update on its progress, and it’s looking like the games will be making an appearance in the not too distant future. In a post on Halo Waypoint, developer 343 Industries states that ‘We know everyone is very eager to get their hands on the Xbox One back-compat release of Halo: CE Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, and Halo 4....

Yae Miko is a fairly recent addition to the already massive character roster in Genshin Impact, but players have been disappointed with the implement of a fix for her elemental abilities. Whereas her elemental skill used to target random enemies, it now locks on to the nearest foe, which can pose all sorts of problems if that enemy in particular is resistant or shielded to her attacks. Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward has released some 4K-quality gameplay footage of its new Gunfight mode coming to this year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The footage comes after last week’s reveal event, which showed off the mode originally via a selection of prominent Call of Duty influencers own YouTube channels playing against each other. However, after the event fans petitioned the developer for a clearer look, without the added bells and whistles, and Infinity Ward has delivered with this raw gameplay footage....

The mining colony sim Hammerting has remained in Early Access for almost a year now, and it has received a fair few number of updates during that time. Many of these updates proved substantial, such as the Overworld Update, which “introduced an overhauled Overworld featuring procedurally generated factions, locations, and roads.” And now it looks like fans of Hammerting have received another hefty batch of content to play around with, as the newly released Farming and Fishing update adds new farming and fishing systems, as one would expect....

While this isn’t Half-Life 3, it is interesting that one of Valve’s most well-known games, the original Half-Life, is still receiving updates 19 years after being released in 1998. New characters, skins and a new environment are coming to Mortal Kombat X as DLC in the first half of 2016, Warner Bros. has announced.
