The main E3 show starts this weekend, but the week was kicked off by Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest today. Capcom has shared a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories on the 3DS ahead of its September 8 release.. The 3DS title exudes a lovely art-style, impressive visuals and a pervasive charm throughout the short video. Featuring a completely new turn-based RPG style of gameplay to the mainline Monster Hunter series, Stories puts players in the role of a Rider who befriends monsters by stealing eggs and hatching them. Think Pokemon crossed with Monster Hunter....
Monster Hunter World’s The Witcher crossover event, which sees players able to hop into the boots of Geralt of Rivia, will finally come to the PC version of Capcom’s acclaimed monster-mashing adventurer on May 9. The Witcher crossover event previously came to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One earlier in the year, and includes a bunch of single-player goodies, including the Contract: Trouble. This takes place in the Ancient Forest, and is geared towards HR16 solo players....
Baby Yoda is quite possibly the most popular Star Wars character since the original trilogy and has grown into an icon since his debut in The Mandalorian. Now thanks to a Star Wars Battlefront II mod, you can float around as the adorable green alien while striking down each and every stormtrooper that dares to stand in your path. A modder by the name of Nanobuds brought Baby Yoda into Battlefront II by modding the recently added BB-8 hero model to resemble the popular green Star Wars creature....

Today EA released a trailer for Need For Speed Payback, the first console installment in the series in two years. The game feature three main characters and a variety of mission types in their attempt to seek vengeance against The House, a criminal cartel that runs the city of Fortune Valley. This is the first mention of a Need For Speed console release since Need For Speed: No Limits in 2015....
EA has formally announced Need For Speed, the next game in its hit racing franchise heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC this autumn. This year’s game is being described by EA as a “full reboot” of the franchise, designed to deliver “on what the fans want, and what Need For Speed stands for” with extensive customisation and a night-time open-world setting. But while the game appears to be inspired by fan-favourite Need For Speed Underground, this year’s game won’t feature a subtitle....
The Witcher showrunner Lauren Hissrich has responded to The Witcher fans and insisted she has “never mocked the books” the video games and Netflix show is based upon. The furor began when writer Beau DeMayo - who’s now working on X-Men ‘97 - says some of his colleagues in The Witcher’s writing room “actively mocked” the source material written by Andrzej Sapkowski. “I’ve been on show - namely Witcher - where some of the writers were not or actively disliked the books and games (even actively mocking the source material),” DeMayo said in an interview back in October....
Nintendo of Japan has released a new video highlighting the characters, and how to play upcoming Switch title Arms (via Siliconera). FromSoftware has today delivered a new update for Elden Ring which is exclusively focused on fixing serious bugs, including one on PC that caused the graphics card to not be used and resulted in sluggish performance. At EVO 2019, Bandai Namco announced that martial artist Zafina and kung fu master Leroy Smith will be coming to Tekken 7 as part of its third Season Pass later this year. Spiritual warrior Zafina — from Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 — will debut in September. Leroy Smith is a new character to the series; an American martial artist who lost everything to gang warfare when he was young, he’s now back for revenge....
Fortnite recently launched Chapter 2 Season 2 in its battle royale mode, adding a number of map changes and new features to the game. This includes the introduction of new Mythic weapons, which are gold-tier weapons that deal incredible damage. While it’s true that Fortnite players have to put in some work to actually get their hands on a Mythic weapon in the game, many feel that they are overpowered....
The Hitman franchise is all about inventively taking out targets in exotic locations and Hitman 3 has that in spades. The game’s latest trailer highlights all of the places players can take Agent 47 as he ruthlessly fulfills his contracts. And to be honest, today’s trailer makes the job of being a hitman sound like a pretty sweet gig, as long as you don’t mind getting blood all over your new suit....
Narrative bicycle adventure game Season: A letter to the future has received a new story trailer ahead of its release on 31st January. Playable character Estelle narrates her goal - to document the final moments of the world before the season changes and everything is forgotten. The answers to why this is happening seem to lie within a strange valley and its inhabitants. Some of the key characters players will meet are shown: a young boy named Kochi, a sculptor named Maytora, and a monk called Easel....
Developer Level-5 has revealed new details on the first batch of DLC for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, as confirmed in the latest issue of Famitsu (via Gematsu). While there’s still no release date on the horizon, the DLC will be titled Labyrinth of the Ghost King, and sees players attempting to overthrow the Endrasis leader, King Lamikyl. Apparently, this kingdom is the cause of the tainted that has befallen the land of Ni no Kuni....
Lunar Tears is an important recovery item in Nier Replicant. It has the potential to completely restore your health once you take damage. You can keep up to 10 units of it in your inventory. Lunar Tears also possess a good sale price in case you want to clear up space but are best kept as a standby health regen item. It is kind of hard to obtain in the game, but, worth it at the same time....

Nintendo’s upcoming NX console is looking “really great”, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has said, and will help bring “a lot more casual players back to the industry”. Mortal Kombat fans have been clamoring for news on their favorite evil wraith, Noob Saibot, since his disappearance after the 2011 reboot. Wait no more. During a panel at C2E2 earlier today, NetherRealm Studios confirmed that Noob is returning for Mortal Kombat 11. And he won’t be alone. No, I’m not referring to his shadow clone. The studio also revealed that the sorcerer Shang Tsung is making a comeback as the game’s first DLC character....
