The ever-elusive food synthesiser popularized by Star Trek might soon become a reality, thanks to 3D printing. Systems and Materials Research Corporation recently landed a $125,000 grant for six months from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration, otherwise known as NASA, to develop a 3D-printing prototype for pizza, according to a report by Quartz. Anjan Contractor founded the company in 1998 and created a food printer that uses powder and oil-filled cartridges with a shelf life of up to 30 years to make nutritional meals containing sugars, complex carbohydrates, protein, etc....

Early this morning, a mysterious trailer for an unannounced Mortal Kombat project appeared on YouTube - posted under the title Mortal Kombat Rebirth. Today Rare and Microsoft released a cinematic trailer for the next adventure that is coming to Sea of Thieves. The adventure is titled “The Rogue’s Legacy” and the trailer certainly goes from cheerful at the beginning to rather dark at the end. We see the tavern keeper Tasha as she finds a note from Skeleton lord Captain Briggsy that leads her to find a treasure chest. Super Lucky’s Tale was an Xbox One exclusive when it first launched in 2017, but now a fresh version of the game is headed to Nintendo Switch. Set to launch in autumn 2019, this new take is titled New Super Lucky’s Tale, and it sees Playful Corp taking over from Xbox Game Studios as the developers. Nintendo’s official website notes that New Super Lucky’s Tale will feature “all new levels, redesigned original levels, tighter movement control, a fully rotatable camera, and improvements to nearly every other aspect, including art, lighting, cinematics, dialogue, UI, sound, music, and more....

Today Aniplex released a new trailer of the upcoming NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime, together with new artwork. This time around, we get the introduction of two antagonists from the game, Adam and Eve. Unsurprisingly, they’re still voiced by their original actors Daisuke Namikawa and Tatsuhisa Suzuki. If you’re unfamiliar with them, Namikawa-san also vocied Luka in the Bayonetta series, Yu Narukami in Persona 4 and its spinoffs, and many more roles....

Nintendo and Lego are partnering again, this time on a large Bowser set. The 2807-piece design stars the king of the Koopas standing upright on a stone platform, between flaming stone plinths. Lego says The Mighty Bowser will be the largest Lego Mario adult set released to date when it becomes available on 1st October, priced £230/$270.
