Oh, no. It’s when the series reveals that the town’s major annual community ritual involves tipping over buckets of seawater to possibly predict your own death. Basically, this is the kind of weirdo small town activity that generally requires a Cheryl Blossom narration....

Today D3 Publisher released a new trailer of its upcoming “Girls Sword-fighting Action” game Samurai Maiden. Being a D3 Publisher game, you probably expect without even pressing “Play” that it’s going to be at least a little wacky, and you won’t be disappointed. This trailer basically explains the game’s slightly different version of the Sengoku period of Japan, from samurai to ninja. It also introduces the protagonist Tsumugi (the titular “Samurai Maiden”), the ninja that accompany her, their powers, and their interactions....

Bandai Namco Games has announced the next batch of Soul Calibur VI characters, confirming newcomer Groh will be joining returning faces such as Kilik, Nightmare, and Xianghua. Known as The Agent in Black, Groh is a silver-haired brawler who wields a particularly meaty-looking dual blade that can function as two separate weapons. From the look of things, he’s also able to enter some sort of rage-induced state that removes his eye patch and turns his eyes glowing red....

Nintendo of America has filed a lawsuit in an Arizona district court against the creator of websites LoveROMs.com and LoveRETRO.com, TorrentFreak has discovered. Reportedly operated by Jacob Mathias and Mathias Designs LLC, both websites offer thousands of pirated games that can be played on emulators or completely free online. Unsurprisingly, a ton of Nintendo titles are distributed from both outlets, with the filing revealing they have been collectively downloaded more than 60 million times....

The battery of Nintendo Switch is not removable by the user, but Nintendo is planning to offer a paid battery replacement service via its customer services department, updated Switch technical specs have revealed. The tech specs reveal a battery capacity of 4310mAh, with the note: “The internal battery cannot be removed. No Man’s Sky’s latest patch not only introduced multiplayer, but also a catastrophic save-corrupting bug. One of the biggest surprises for me at this year’s E3 was the announcement of a new Twisted Metal, even though David Jaffe was adamant that this was not the project that he was working on. The long-awaited Oddworld: Soulstorm has received a flashy cinematic trailer during Unity’s keynote at GDC this week, offering a glimpse at the rendering wizardry employed by developer Oddworld Inhabitants in the upcoming sequel. Outriders has so far taken the gaming community by storm despite being out in only its demo form. The game has launched on a number of platforms and is a much-awaited title. The reviews so far have been pretty good, but, there have been certain issues with the game. One such issue that keeps popping up quite frequently on PCs is the Win64-Shipping.exe Error. This hampers the gameplay experience quite a bit and ruins the vibe while playing....

Balance is probably the most contentious thing about Overwatch. Metas dictate how much the community engages with the game. Players’ personal favorite heroes may be pushed out of the meta or elevated to must-pick status. Despite the general reach of Overwatch, whether its lore, esports, or community, it all comes back to the gameplay. All characters in the hero shooter changed since their initial release. There are just some who went through more drastic changes than others, whether it be buffs, nerfs, or reworks....

Overwatch 2 is the sequel to Overwatch and the most recent addition to Blizzard Entertainment’s arsenal. While new players are exploring this world, the veterans have jumped in to meet their favored characters of old. While the game has certainly upgraded in a lot of means including characters, the plague of bugs and errors is hampering a lot of game time. While Blizzard are doing their best, errors like Client Requested Disconnect pop up in Overwatch 2....

Microsoft will be shutting down all of its physical retail stores around the world in order to develop its digital presence (via MCV/Develop). A total of 82 locations will be closed across the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, and Puerto Rico. The employees will transition into a remote role to offer sales, training, and support for customers, and “all employees will have the opportunity to stay with Microsoft” should they wish to do so....

Modern Warfare 3’s next batch of DLC will be deployed on July 17, Activision has confirmed. July’s swathes of content make up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s 16th, 17th and 18th content drops out of the 24 promised. Those are multiplayer maps Decommission and Offshore, along with the Vertigo mission for Spec Ops. Decommission takes place in a mid-sized ship graveyard. Offshore is a close-quarters map on an oil rig, with plenty of areas to fall to your death....

Monster Hunter is known for its challenging boss-like enemies and World has continued this trend. Perhaps the most satisfying part of fighting all of these bosses is learning their patterns and overcoming them. But once you’ve overcome one boss, the next appears and forces you to learn its patterns. This sense of progression is one of the best things about Monster Hunter and it continues all the way to the final story boss and even beyond....

Ever since the announcement of Final Kombat, Mortal Kombat 11 fans have been pumped. To go along with this announcement, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have unveiled a new poster that gives fans a close look at the upcoming DLC character Spawn. The official Mortal Kombat 11 poster, created by talented fan artist Boss Logic, features close-ups of both Shang Tsung and Spawn. Spawn’s gameplay trailer has yet to be revealed, but this poster does reveal some details on what the character will look like....
